Intel i7-1280P

Intel Core i7-1280P - самый мощный, на середину 2022 года, процессор семейства Alder Lake класса P. Ориентирован на тонкие (но с активным охлаждением) ноутбуки, был представлен в начале 2022 года и единственный среди представленных к середине 2022 года процессоров Alder Lake P располагает сразу 6 производительными ядрами в сочетании с 8 экономными ядрами. Первые из них поддерживают Hyper-Threading, вторые не поддерживают, в сумме выходит 20 потоков. Частоты: 1.8...4.8 ГГц для производительных ядер и 1.3...3.6 ГГц для экономных ядер.

1280P поддерживает полный набор функций vPro ("Enterprise"), в том числе, дистанционное управление ноутбуком.

Архитектура

1280P являет собой продолжение усилий Intel по использованию разработанной ARM технологии big.LITTLE на собственное благо. Одно "маленькое" ядро (E-core) должно давать быстродействие уровня ядра Skylake, как, например, в Core i7-6700HQ. Отметим, изначальной архитектуре Skylake к настоящему моменту исполнилось уже более 6 лет.

Все процессорные ядра 1280P имеют доступ к 24 мегабайтам кэша третьего уровня. Встроенный контроллер RAM принимает до 64 ГБ оперативной памяти различных типов.

Как и другие процессоры Intel Core двенадцатого поколения, Core i7-1280P ориентирован на использование с Windows 11 и Thread Director, новой функциональностью, призванной помочь ОС и приложениям правильно распределять нагрузку между ядрами для оптимальных производительности и экономичности.

Функции GNA 3.0 и DL Boost обеспечивают аппаратное ускорение ИИ-алгоритмов. Поддержки PCI-Express 5.0, увы, нет, только 4.0. Четыре линии PCI-Express 4.0 дают 7.9 ГБ/с пропускной способности для NVMe-накопителя.

Отметим, 1280P не предназначен для самостоятельной замены. Как понятно из названия его сокета (BGA1744), этот процессор предполагается перманентно припаивать к мат. плате вместо установки в гнездо.

Производительность

14 процессорных ядер 1280P способны обогнать любой шестиядерный процессор Tiger Lake для ноутбуков, вроде i7-11600H, а также любой восьмиядерный AMD Ryzen 5000 или Ryzen 6000 класса U. Главное, что нужно - щедро выставленные производителем ноутбука параметры Power Limit для процессора, не меньше 30 ватт для долгих нагрузок и не меньше 50 ватт для нагрузок кратковременных. Само собой, важны и хорошая система охлаждения, и качественная система питания.

При оптимальных условиях ноутбук с i7-1280P будет способен потягаться с ноутбуком, оснащённым i7-11800H. Доминирование над процессорами Intel Core одиннадцатого поколения очевидно и неоспоримо. Однако, достигнуто оно ценой большого расхода энергии, о чём - немного далее.

Графика

Iris Xe с 96 блоками EU, что встроен здесь, уже знаком нам по процессорам Tiger Lake UP3, вроде i7-1165G7. В случае 1280P, этот графический процессор работает на частоте до 1.45 ГГц и должен давать быстродействие уровня GeForce MX350, достаточную для большинства игр в разрешении 1080p и среднем качестве изображения.

Iris Xe способен аппаратно декодировать новейший видеокодек AV1, а также позволяет работать одновременно с одним, двумя, тремя или четырьмя мониторами (максимальное разрешение = SUHD 4320p).

Графическая производительность будет сильно зависеть от качества питания и охлаждения конкретного ноутбука, а также от того, насколько значительны процессорные Power Limit. Важна и конфигурация системной RAM, ведь своей видеопамяти у Iris Xe нет.

Даже в наилучших условиях, этот графический адаптер будет проигрывать новейшим AMD 680M из шеститысячных Ryzen.

Отметим напоследок любопытную подробность, при воспроизведении видео YouTube 2160p60 задействование графического процессора оказалось бóльшим, чем было у процессоров Tiger Lake UP3 с, формально, точно таким же графическим процессором.

Энергопотребление

Базовое потребление 1280P, оно же - TDP или PL1, равно 28 Вт. Рекомендуемый Intel верхний предел Турбо-потребления = 64 ватт. Рассматриваемый процессор изготавливается на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel в третьем поколении, которое рекламируется, как Intel 7, и должно бы обеспечивать приличную экономичность. На деле же, разработчики Intel сделали упор на максимизацию производительности, из-за чего всего одно P-ядро может потреблять более 20 ватт, будучи полностью загруженным. Пятитысячные AMD Ryzen и, в особенности, процессоры Apple серии M1 отличаются меньшей прожорливостью, обеспечивая близкий уровень быстродействия.
