Intel Core m3-8100Y
Intel Core m3-8100Y – двухъядерный чип с пониженным TDP для планшетов и пассивно охлажденных ноутбуков на базе поколения Amber Lake, анонсированный в августе 2018 года. Процессор состоит из двух ядер с тактовой частотой 1.1-3.4 ГГц, встроенной графики Intel HD Graphics 615, двухканального контроллера памяти (DDR3L/LPDDR3), а также видеодекодера VP9 и H.265. По сравнению с предшественниками Kaby Lake-Y (например, Core m3-7Y32), Amber Lake использует ту же архитектуру, что и в улучшенном 14nm + FinFET-процессе (без 14 нм ++), но предлагает более высокие тактовые частоты при увеличении TDP. Производительность серии Y напрямую зависит от того, насколько эффективна система охлаждения устройства и настроек TDP для постоянной нагрузки. Поэтому различия между процессорами Core m3 и i7 могут быть довольно незначительными. Высокие тактовые частоты Turbo в чипах Amber Lake должны привести к хорошему уровню производительности одного потока при коротких нагрузках. Интегрированный графический адаптер Intel HD Graphics 615 оснащен 24 блоками исполнения, равно как и HD Graphics 515, работает с тактовой частотой 300-950 МГц в сочетании с Core m3-8100Y. Производительность сильно зависит от предела TDP, а также конфигурации памяти; с быстрой оперативной памятью LPDDR3-1866 в двухканальном режиме графический процессор должен конкурировать с HD Graphics 520, но также может быть намного медленнее в других сценариях. Современные игры с 2016 года могут пойти только на низких настройках или вообще не воспроизводиться. В отличие от Skylake, Kaby Lake и Amber Lake теперь также поддерживают аппаратное декодирование для H.265/HEVC Main10 с 10-битной глубиной цвета, а также кодеком VP9 от Google. Чип производится в старом 14 нм + процессе с транзисторами FinFET. Типичный TDP для Amber Lake Y-серии указан в 5 Вт (предыдущие поколения составляли 4.5 Вт), но может быть как увеличен, так и уменьшен – все зависит от сценария нагрузок.
