HiSilicon Kirin 925

HiSilicon Kirin 925 - мощный ARM-чип, предназначенный в первую очередь для флагманских смартфонов и планшетов Huawei и впервые появившийся в третьем квартале 2014 года в планшетофоне Ascend Mate 7. Он включает четыре высокопроизводительных процессорных ядра Cortex A15, работающих на частоте до 1.8 ГГц, четыре экономичных ядра Cortex A7 (до 1.3 ГГц), видеоадаптер ARM Mali-T628 MP6 и контроллер памяти LPDDR3. Также имеется LTE-модем, поддерживающий скорость загрузки до 300 Мбит/с (LTE Cat.6).

Архитектура и производительность

По сравнению с более широко распространенными архитектурами Cortex A7 и A9, A15 предлагает увеличенную по меньшей мере на 50% производительность на такт, но отличается повышенным энергопотреблением. Поэтому помимо четырех ядер Cortex A15 чип включает четыре менее производительнных, но более экономичных ядер Cortex A7 (популярная схема big.LITTLE). Чип автоматически выбирает наиболее подходящие дла текущей задачи ядра, исходя из нагрузки, что позволяет снизить расход энергии без потери производительности в ресурсоемких приложениях. Положительное отличие от ранних чипов big.LITTLE вроде Samsung Exynos 5410 заключается в возможности одновременного использования всех восьми ядер. Производительность процессорной части чипа примерно сопоставима с мощными чипами уровня Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 и Samsung Exynos 5420, но уступает таким новинкам, как Snapdragon 805 и Apple A8.

Графика

Как и Samsung Exynos 5420, Kirin 925 использует видеоадаптер Mali-T628 MP6, включающий 6 шейдерных кластеров (около 120 GFLOPS на предполагаемой рабочей частоте 600 МГц) и поддерживающий OpenGL ES 3.0, OpenCL 1.1 и DirectX 11. Игровая производительность лишь немного отстает от Adreno 330 (Snapdragon 800) и PowerVR G6430 (Apple A7) и большинство требовательных игр для Android пойдут на высоких (до 2500 на 1600 пикселей) разрешениях и настройках качества.

Энергопотребление

Kirin 925 производится на 28-нм HPM-техпроцессе на заводах компании TSMC, поэтому его энергопотребление должно быть сравнимо с другими высокопроизводительными ARM-чипами вроде Exynos 5420. Это означает, что лучше всего чип подходит для больших смартфонов и планшетов.
