Однако еще раз подчеркнем, что речь идет о неигровых приложениях: для игр этот ноутбук не подходит. Dell XPS 13 9343-8864 можно использовать для офисных приложений, просмотра фото- и видеоконтента и интернет-серфинга. Можно, конечно, запускать и более ресурсоемкие приложения для обработки фото или видео, однако если предполагается, что эти задачи будут основными, то лучше подумать о покупке более производительного решения.

Единственный весомый недостаток, который немножко разбавляет елейность нашего впечатления – это отсутствие видеовыходов HDMI и VGA. Впрочем, получить их все же реально, отдельно прикупив специальный переходник. Но, учитывая то, что рассматриваемая нами комплектация стоит $2100, было бы разумно ожидать, что все необходимые аксессуары уже входят в комплект поставки. Так что приобретение того же переходника может стать не очень приятным сюрпризом, оставив по себе если не обиду на производителя, то уж точно неприятный осадок. Справедливости ради отметим, что данная модификация является самой топовой, а значит выбрать комплектацию на свой вкус и кошелек не составит никакого труда.

Серия XPS дешевизной не отличалась в принципе, а теперь и вовсе претендует на лавры топовых MacBook. Модель с тачскрином в той конфигурации, что была у нас, будет стоить 106000 рублей. Версия попроще обойдется намного дешевле - ее оценили в 86000 рублей. Для сравнения, недавно представленный Apple MacBook в России оценен в 100 (самая простая конфигурация) или 122 тысячи рублей, при этом у него не полноценный, а мобильный процессор Intel Core M (то есть совсем не мощный), большие рамки экрана, отсутствуют разъемы (нормальные порты доступны через дорогие переходники-разветвители, даже карту памяти не вставить), нет сенсорного экрана. Так что цена флагмана Dell получилась не такой уж и страшной на фоне недоноутбука Apple.

Are there faster laptops you can buy? Yep. Are there thinner and lighter notebooks using Broadwell? Again, yes. Can you find longer battery life in a portable machine? It has a sleek and elegant aluminum chassis with carbon fiber inner frame making it really durable and light at the same time. Also, the display has really thin bezels making it even more compact, while the keyboard remains big enough for comfortable use. The keys are big enough and you will barely see the difference from a full-sized one. The touchpad also has a great design with only one drawback – we’ve noticed some unresponsiveness when using two-finger gestures, like scrolling for example.

As much as I like the MacBook Air, its design has been surpassed by the XPS 13. It's smaller and lighter, and lasts nearly as long on a charge. Having tested both the $1,399 quad-HD touch-screen XPS 13 and the $899, nontouch 1080p version, I prefer the latter. As someone who mainly uses desktop mode in Windows 8.1, I'll gladly sacrifice the touch screen for 4 additional hours of battery life.

Dell did a great job with the XPS 13 9343. They created a compact and light laptop with a 13 inch display, fast hardware, good keyboard/trackpad and long battery life, and on top of all these, a laptop with very little flaws. On the other hand, the proper priced options lack a touchscreen, so if you're not a big fan of matte panels, you're going to have to pay a lot for a model configured to your needs. In the end, when I draw the line, the reviewed Dell XPS 13 model is a good buy. For me is a lighter, smaller, faster and longer lasting computer than my old ThinkPad. I’m loosing on ports and typing experience, but I’m gaining plenty, so I’m happy to make the switch. For everyone else, I believe the XPS 13 can be a solid option if you need a compact, well built and fast computer for everyday activities. It’s not without rivals, and I’m looking here and the Acer Aspire S7-393 and even the Core M Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro and Asus Zenbook UX305, plus the other devices that will be released in the future, including that rumored 12 inch Macbook Air. But it should face them all head-high.

In our opinion, the new 2015 Dell XPS 13 is the notebook to beat currently, for 13-inch machines. It's quite frankly as near "perfect" a design as we've ever seen in an utlralight notebook. The XPS 13 gives you good performance and great battery life in an incredibly compact and solid-feeling package. Even the pricing is almost reasonable. This model with its 256GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and QHD+ touchscreen costs $1,400. If that’s too rich, Dell really takes a shot at Apple with its base model. That XPS 13 comes with a 1920x1080 non-touch IPS panel, 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM. At $800, it packs components a magnitude better than the MacBook Air 11's, and it’s $100 cheaper.

Dell’s XPS 13 looked amazing on the show floor, but sometimes first impressions hide flaws that become obvious on close inspection. Thankfully, that’s not true here. This notebook is an excellent piece of engineering that combines the latest Intel hardware with a robust, attractive and portable system.

Simply brilliant. Dell now offers the XPS 13 with a non-touch display and a more mainstream resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels for a much more affordable price. Not only is the new display brighter, but it's matte as well, which improves outdoor usability. The remainder of the hardware is very similar to the QHD+ version, so the new model inherits both its strengths and weaknesses.

The £650 Asus is a little slower, larger and heavier, but it’s also a whole lot cheaper than the XPS 13's £1,199 asking price while still being brilliant - even the entry-level 13in MacBook Air costs £849. Знакомство с Dell XPS 13 (9350) оказалось достаточно позитивным. В этом ноутбуке не нашлось каких-либо серьезных недоработок, которые повлияли бы на ваш выбор. Корпус устройства не просто стильный и компактный, он также практичный. Дисплей имеет хороший уровень контрастности и вполне подходящую яркость, в то время как клавиатура позволяет комфортно работать даже в полной темноте, за счет того, что предусмотрена подсветка. Если говорить о портах, то недостаточное количество USB и других интерфейсов полностью компенсируется Thunderbolt третьего поколения. Наконец, процессор Core i7 Skylake прекрасно справляется с поставленными задачами, работая в связке с интегрированной видеокартой и 8 ГБ оперативной памяти. Среди перечисленных выше достоинств все говорит в пользу покупки такого современного ноутбука. И только ценник порядка $1800, возможно, заставит некоторых задуматься и заглянуть к конкурентам.

I love the keyboards on ThinkPad notebooks, and the trackpads on MacBooks. But the XPS 15 is my new favorite laptop, hands down. This is not to downplay the XPS 13, itself a fine ultra-portable machine with tremendous upside. The price on the 13-inch machine begins at just $799, and it provides a tremendous experience if you don't need the additional power or larger, better display of the 15-inch model.

In fact, there’s only one thing that really bugs me about the XPS 13, and that’s Dell’s stubborn insistence on forcing dynamic contrast on at all times. It's a stupid decision, in my opinion. That aside, I absolutely love this thing. I could wish for a better GPU – yes, I really do want a slim, gorgeous ultraportable that also plays GTA V – but it'll be a few years until ultraportables routinely come with decent gaming-class graphics. As it stands, this is a powerful, light, lovely ultraportable that comes a hair’s breadth from perfection. I think I can settle for that.

So yes, I am not left behind when I have impromptu CS 1.6 sessions with my friends. I expected a bit more out of the battery, but with that resolution I think a 6.5-7 hour battery life is acceptable.

The first 2015 Dell XPS 13 was one of the best portable ultrabooks around. Offering a compact design, solid performance and comfortable typing experience, it was an exceptional mobile productivity aid. As a result, it’s no surprise that the refreshed sixth-generation Intel-powered model is also excellent and easily outclasses competing ultrabooks, such as the Lenovo Yoga 900. If you want a portable laptop then you should definitely consider the XPS 13. However, the basic £850 version's display isn’t the best I’ve seen. Those with the cash would do better to invest in the more expensive QHD+ touchscreen model. If you’re not dead set on getting a proper laptop, there are also a number of convertibles at the same price point, like the Surface Pro 4, that are also worth a look.

Dell XPS 13 с прошлого года изменился мало. Тот же дизайн, тот же глянцевый дисплей, так же неудобно расположена веб-камера. Но в основном лэптоп производит очень хорошее впечатление. Он достаточно производительный для своего класса, причём оснащается очень шустрым SSD. Узенькая рамка вокруг дисплея смотрится прекрасно — странно, что другие производители еще не переняли эту черту (наверное, потому что не MacBook). Да, процессор немного перегревается, но в наше время сложно встретить ультрабук, который этим не грешит. Хотя это никого не оправдывает.

The review unit is the top of the line i7 with 16GB of RAM and the larger SSD so unsurprisingly there wasn’t any performance issues. It's so close that I'm going to put it this way: I have a longstanding preference for light laptops. The lighter the better (as long as the functionality isn't compromised too much). In this respect, I favor the MacBook. As I said, there's a big difference between 2.7 pounds (XPS) and 2 pounds (MacBook). That said, the XPS' faster performance, touch display, 360-degree hinge, carbon fiber palm rest, fingerprint scanner, and MicroSD card reader may appeal more to certain consumers and businesses.

This Dell 2-in-1 hits all the right notes, but its biggest struggle isn't against its own kin—it's against its excellent competition. Namely, one really great HP 2-in-1: the HP Spectre X360. HP's best comes in a prettier package, has a webcam that's in the right spot, and even packs fully-powered Intel chips inside, making it faster. Oh, and it's cheaper; the Spectre I reviewed with an Intel i7 chip, 8 GB RAM, and a 256 GB SSD rings the till at $140 less than the Dell. Very recently, HP even announced models with pen compatibility and even 4K displays, even further chipping away at the Dell's strong suits.

Yes, we've seen convertible laptops like this, but none with Dell's XPS styling. And, based on my conversations with potential PC buyers, that alone could be enough to tempt them away from rival machines. While Dell made some concessions with the XPS 13 2-in-1, I'm ultimately impressed that it managed to deliver a premium convertible laptop that mostly lives up to its beloved predecessor.

Even then, the Spectre x360 machine is only 0.8 inch deeper front-to-back. We suspect most of us can clear a sliver of extra room on our desks to save $300 (between comparable models) and gain two extra hours of battery life. The HP system is, to our eyes, the better deal, even if we do like the look and feel of the XPS 13 2-in-1 a bit better.

It’s has XPS 13 in the name, but this is a very different laptop to the standard XPS 13. It’s less powerful, but lighter and should have better battery life. It’s a case of horses for courses: if thin and light is your priority and you won’t be doing much in the way of intense multimedia work, it’s very attractive. Still, the regular model will always be better value for those who don’t want a 2-in-1 design.

Dell has split the iconic XPS 13 Ultrabook into 2 lines for 2022. We look at both the standard XPS 13 (9315) and XPS 13 Plus (9320) in this review. Both are extremely compact CNC aluminum 13.4” laptops with 16:10 aspect ratio narrow bezel displays, Wi-Fi 6E, Thunderbolt 4 and Intel Iris Xe graphics. The Plus offers higher end display options including our 3.5K OLED and 4K IPS, and it has a faster CPU. The Plus sports a new keyboard design and an interesting borderless trackpad too. The XPS 13 standard edition fights back with a lower price tag and a more conventional keyboard.

The XPS 13 Plus looks incredible and boasts some impressive power under the hood to match. There is a lot to like and it is certainly easy to carry around. However, the battery life simply isn’t up to the mark and Dell’s quality control, particularly when it comes to its drivers, resulted in issues with audio and performance. While it appears this may be rectified with a future software fix, the XPS Plus is difficult to recommend in its current state. Dell's XPX 13 Plus is well designed, light and packs a powerful punch, however, it needs better battery life and polish to take the ultra-portables crown.

I have mixed emotions about this laptop. The Dell XPS 13 Plus is one of the most powerful ultraportables ever, and Dell deserves credit for delivering such speed in a design that’s even more compact than the MacBook Air M2 and MacBook Pro M2. The new Dell also offers a very comfortable keyboard and top-notch OLED display (if you’re willing to splurge). The reason why the XPS 13 Plus doesn’t earn a higher rating is because of its short battery life (though you can expect more endurance from a non-OLED model) and its capacitive function row, which looks and feels a bit chintzy for a $1,200 laptop. And some may be turned off by the dearth of ports and how warm the bottom can get. In this price range I prefer the MacBook Air M2 for its much longer battery life, more ports and less fussy touchpad. But overall the XPS 13 Plus is a good option if you prefer Windows. I want to like the XPS 13 Plus. It has wonderfully thin bezels, a true edge-to-edge keyboard, and a 14-core processor that can, under optimal conditions, post impressive results. But ultimately, Dell made an achingly attractive laptop with a middling keyboard, annoying touchpad, and too few ports. The 14-core processor overwhelms the cooling system, leading to excessive exterior temperatures. Dell’s outgoing Dell XPS 13 9310 was a better laptop. It had a better keyboard and touchpad, the same gorgeous OLED display, longer battery life, and wasn’t as hot in day-to-day use. The new XPS 13 Plus is superior only in performance—but you’ll need an ice pack to make the most of it.

Dell's new XPS 13 Plus is a well-equipped, powerful 13-inch laptop that will satisfy a number of productivity and content creation use cases and a wide swath of mainstream laptop users. It has a great looking, modern design and impeccable build quality, along with top shelf materials and components, like its killer 3.5K OLED display option in our test system. However, the combination of Intel's powerful but power-hungry and warm-running Alder Lake 12th Gen Core i7-1280P 14-core chip, seem to be a bit too much for Dell's thermal solution to handle in this wafer-thin laptop design. Though noise output from the machine was very tame and actually best-of-breed in the 2.5 - 3 lb laptop category, the bottom of the machine can get uncomfortably warm at its Ultra Performance power and thermal settings. Battery life left something to be desired as well. In addition, with only two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports available on this machine, some users may find this laptop's IO expansion options to be too limited. We really wish Dell had not removed the microSD card reader as well.

The new keyboard deck design with its hidden touchpad, huge keycaps and capacitive touch bar gets a solid thumbs up from me and the updated chassis design breathes new life into the classic XPS formula. Wrap all that up with Intel’s 12th generation CPUs, an excellent touchscreen display and powerful speaker system, and Dell truly has a winner on its hands. The middling battery life sets it behind the M2 MacBook Air but this is otherwise a superlative alternative.

Are you ready for the future? Dell certainly is, and for them, the future is the XPS 13 Plus. Although the laptop sports an incredibly minimalistic and polarizing design, it doesn’t skimp in the power department — thanks to its Core i7 processor. The 4K OLED display is a vision of loveliness and the keyboard is comfortable, which just serves to sweeten the pot. However, as beautiful as the display is, it’s also a drain on the battery life. And then there’s that polarizing design. Some, like myself, will be drawn to the ultra-minimalistic aesthetic while others will take issue with the invisible touchpad and absent headset jack. Those looking for a more traditional take on the laptop should check out the $1,549 Acer Swift 5. If you’re team Apple, the $1,899 MacBook Air M2 is the way to go. But if you’re looking for a piece of the future right now, then the $1,910 ($1,273 starting) Dell XPS 13 Plus is for you.

I have mixed emotions about this laptop. The Dell XPS 13 Plus is one of the most powerful ultraportables ever, and Dell deserves credit for delivering such speed in a design that’s even more compact than the MacBook Air M2 and MacBook Pro M2. The new Dell also offers a very comfortable keyboard and top-notch OLED display (if you’re willing to splurge). The reason why the XPS 13 Plus doesn’t earn a higher rating is because of its short battery life (though you can expect more endurance from a non-OLED model) and its capacitive function row, which looks and feels a bit chintzy for a $1,200 laptop. And some may be turned off by the dearth of ports and how warm the bottom can get. In this price range I prefer the MacBook Air M2 for its much longer battery life, more ports and less fussy touchpad. But overall the XPS 13 Plus is a good option if you prefer Windows. I haven’t reviewed the regular XPS 13 yet, but my sense is that Dell intends for that to remain most people’s option and for the Plus to be the “power user” laptop. But with its limited connectivity and questionable capacity to hold its own under “power user” loads, I’d hesitate to recommend this model to that group. I suspect that folks who need the full power of a Core i7-1280P may want something with USB-A at the very least.

The XPS 13 Plus starts at $1,200 with a 512GB SSD, 8GB of RAM, and a 1,920 by 1,200 (FHD+) LCD monitor. As usual, I'd suggest bumping up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD for $1,499 if you're planning to keep the laptop for four years or more. And if you want OLED, expect to spend at least $1,799. Ultimately, I have to give Dell credit for once again attempting to push laptop designs forward with the XPS 13 Plus. Like the InfinityEdge Display before it, there are plenty of great ideas in this computer that competitors may end up adopting. I just hope Dell considers dealing with the potential usability issues eventually (and maybe throw in a headphone jack too). If you're trying to show us the future of computing, don't make it feel like a step backward.

So, should you buy the XPS 13 Plus? I'd say yes if you're looking for something that looks out of the ordinary but is also very well constructed. The XPS 13 Plus has the look and feel of a premium ultraportable, but its merely average performance and battery life prevent a stronger recommendation. I also want the haptic touchpad to be more dependable. I liked the look and feel of HP's premium Dragonfly Pro, and the more conventional HP Pavilion Plus 14 offers a well-rounded package and a slightly larger OLED panel. There's also the Asus Zenbook S 13, an even more portable OLED ultraportable with a long runtime.

The Dell XPS 13 Plus (2023) is a frustrating laptop in many ways. It should be applauded for standing out from the crowd while still getting some basics, like an excellent keyboard and trackpad experience, correct. The 3.5K OLED display is wondrous too. But, the proof is in the pudding, and value-for-money performance is fundamental. The Dell XPS 13 Plus just doesn’t keep up. The LG Gram SuperSlim and Samsung Galaxy Book 3 360 both outstrip this device in terms of speed, despite the latter offering a lower-powered chip. Battery life is extremely disappointing too, falling well foul of high-end modern standards. The Dell XPS rethink needs a rethink if it’s going to contend with excellent devices like the MacBook Air M2 once again. Check out our Best Laptop guide for even more options.

The Dell XPS 13 Plus is an attractive laptop, even a stunning one when you admire its trim size, glorious high-res OLED touch screen, and seamless palm rest. However, unless you settle for the base IPS screen, this XPS's battery life is sadly just not competitive with other ultraportables, and its lack of ports beyond Thunderbolt is a nuisance, adapters notwithstanding. The Dell earns more points for style than for execution, but the Plus needs more pluses than this for another chance at the top spot.

It’s clear that Dell is onto something special with the XPS 13 Plus. More than any other laptop I’ve reviewed in the past couple of years, this is the one people want to stop me and see. While the standard XPS 13 will likely be the more popular option because of its price and more conventional keyboard and touchpad, the XPS 13 Plus feels less like a wild experiment and more like a gentle nudge to the rest of the industry in a new direction. There are some alternatives to consider, however. The Dell XPS 13 9315 is a good alternative since it’s cheaper and has a more traditional keyboard and touchpad. It’s less powerful with 15-watt U-series CPUS, though, while providing much better battery life.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся лишь с самыми простыми играми, больше подходя для простых дел - просмотра видео в Сети и обработки документов. Плюсом можно считать скромный нагрев и расход энергии.

Intel HD Graphics 615: Графический процессор с 24 ядрами, встроенный в некоторые центральные процессоры поколения Intel Kaby Lake.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

Низковольтный двухъядерный процессор для ультрабуков, основанный на 14-нм архитектуре Broadwell. Включает графику HD Graphics 5500.

6200U: Skylake-based ULV dual-core processor for thin notebooks and ultrabooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 520 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.

Intel Core i7:

5500U:

i5-8250U: Энергоэффективный четырехъядерный процессор семейства Kaby Lake Refresh. Ядра в работают на частоте от 1.6 до 3.4 ГГц, поддерживается многопоточность. Встроенный графический процессор работает на частоте от 300 до 1100 МГц. Изготовлена новинка по нормам 14 нм+ техпроцесса FinFET.

Intel Alder Lake-P:

i7-1280P: Самый мощный, на середину 2022 года, процессор семейства Alder Lake класса P. Предназначен для тонких (но активно охлаждаемых) ноутбуков, располагает 6 производительными ядрами с поддержкой Hyper-Threading и 8 экономными ядрами без Hyper-Threading, в сумме = 20 потоков. Частота процессорных ядер меняется в пределах 1.3...4.8 ГГц и есть полная ("Enterprise") поддержка функций vPro, в том числе, дистанционного управления ноутбуком. Базовое потребление Core i7-1280P равно 28 Вт, встроенный в него графический процессор не изменился относительно процессоров Tiger Lake UP3, всё тот же Iris Xe с 96 блоками EU.
