Intel Core i7-4578U

Intel Core i7-4578U - низковольтный двухъядерный процессор для больших ультрабуков, построенный на архитектуре Haswell. Он появился в третьем квартале 2014 года и производится на 22-нм техпроцессе. Благодаря технологии Hyper-Threading, два ядра способны одновременно обрабатывать до четырех потоков данных, что позволяет лучше использовать ресурсы процессора. Каждое ядро работает на базовой частоте в 3 ГГц, но способно автоматически ускоряться с помощью технологии Turbo Boost до 3.5 ГГц.

Архитектура

Архитектура Haswell - преемница архитектуры Ivy Bridge с улучшенной производительностью как процессора, так и встроенной видеокарты. Процессоры производятся на 22-нм техпроцессе и оснащены улучшенным предсказателем переходов, а также дополнительными портами исполнения, что улучшает производительность на такт примерно на 5-10 процентов. Новые же наборы инструкций, например, AVX2 и FMA, должны увеличить производительность в совместимых приложениях в будущем.

Производительность

Производительность Core i7-4578U примерно на одном уровне с устаревшим и работающим на несколько более высокой частоте i7-3540M. Но в приложениях, использующих новые наборы инструкций (к примеру, AVX2), производительность значительно выше. Так что этот процессор уверенно справляется с любыми офисными и мультимедийными приложениями, как и с более ресурсоемкими задачами.

Видеокарта

Встроенная видеокарта Iris Graphics 5100 оснащена 40 исполнительными устройствами и работает на частоте в 200 МГц (до 1200 МГц в режиме Turbo Boost). Ее производительность намного выше, чем у HD 4000, и позволяет ей конкурировать с дискретными видеокартами начального/среднего уровня (например, nVIDIA GeForce GT 720M).

Энергопотребление

Расчетное энергопотребление i7-4578U составляет 28 Вт (TDP), включая встроенную видеокарту, контроллер памяти, регуляторы напряжения и встроенный чипсет. Поэтому этот процессор лучше всего подходит для хорошо охлаждаемых ультрабуков.
