After spending nearly a month with this laptop, I keep coming back to the same feeling. That this is what a Gaming MacBook would be, if Apple made one, other than the fact it runs Windows. This laptop looks and feels a lot like a MacBook Pro, and that’s what I love so much about this, along with the beautiful OLED touch screen, and pretty decent battery life. Despite the AI fluff on the ProArt PX13, it does indeed deserve an Editor’s Choice. It really nails just about every metric that it needs to. Sure, it’s pricey, but when you look at the specs – including an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 inside – you’ll understand why it is over $2,000. And that’s before the tariffs.

The ASUS ProArt PX13 is a great choice for creative professionals thanks to its efficient AI-powered CPU, sharp 3K OLED touchscreen, reliable GPU, and other useful features. It may not be the most powerful laptop on the market, but for a 2-in-1 laptop, it manages to offer reliable performance for tasks like video and photo editing, graphic design, digital drawing, and even a bit of gaming. The ASUS Dial integrated into the touchpad, as well as support for ASUS Pen 2.0, offers intuitive and convenient interactions with creative software, although they might take time to get used to. I really wish that laptop offered a display with a faster refresh rate , and maybe better battery life. But overall, the ASUS ProArt PX13 is a solid package.

Asus launches a special GoPro version of its powerful ProArt PX13 convertible. In addition to some visual changes, the compact 13-inch model also gets the fastest AMD Strix Halo Ryzen AI Max+ 395 including the Radeon 8060s GPU and 128 GB RAM. The 2.8K OLED is still limited to 60 Hz, though.

My only complaint with Asus ProArt PX13 GoPro Edition is that I want a bit more battery life, especially having seen what Apple and HP are getting out of their laptops. That said, I didn't have any issues with it dying during my work, though I didn't really travel that far with it.

EN→RUMy only complaint with Asus ProArt PX13 GoPro Edition is that I want a bit more battery life, especially having seen what Apple and HP are getting out of their laptops. That said, I didn't have any issues with it dying during my work, though I didn't really travel that far with it.

ASUS is one of the few PC manufacturers trying to compete with Apple in the creator market, and with the ProArt GoPro Edition laptop, it has largely succeeded. This model offers excellent performance and battery life, a huge amount of memory, a very nice OLED HDR display, a nice range of ports and an excellent keyboard and trackpad. It easily handled my typical video and photo editing chores, even on battery power alone, and the included GoPro features like the Storyblocks cloud storage are a nice option for action cam users. The convertible configuration and touchscreen with pen option are also useful to artists and photo editors. However, this laptop is not cheap at $3,000, which is the same price as a high-end 16-inch MacBook Pro M4 Pro.

The ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 is a very capable and compact machine for creatives with a beefy Strix Halo chip, a dazzling OLED screen and a feature-rich set of ports. Its build quality is excellent, while the subtle GoPro nods are a pleasant touch. Just watch out for its dear cost, plus the okay battery life against rivals. The likes of the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro may not have as much raw grunt with its Intel Panther Lake chip inside, and its port selection isn’t quite as strong, but it provides an extra three inches of screen real estate, a 120Hz OLED screen and much stronger battery life for nearly £1000 less. With this in mind, this Asus x GoPro collaboration has borne some very rich fruit if you’re after a small and very beefy ultrabook for video editing and lots more besides. This is going to hold an edge in GPU loads and especially in games where DLSS 4.0 can play an important role, as it is somehow a higher power implementation than the 2025 A14 models. But this is going to run warmer and louder (45-48 dBA at full blast), even if the power increase might also come with an updated thermal module, perhaps.
