Стоит учитывать, что при всём этом ASUS ExpertBook B3302FEA не отличается высокой производительностью в конфигурации с бюджетным чипом Core i3-1115G4, особенно в варианте с 8 ГБ оперативной памяти – её в скором времени будет не хватать, если использовать лэптоп для сколько-нибудь ресурсоёмких задач. Это лучше не упускать из вида при выборе и заранее определиться – потом возможности апгрейда уже не будет. Тем не менее ExpertBook B3302FEA - явно заслуживающая внимания модель, хоть и со своей спецификой. Не слишком высокая производительность протестированной конфигурации компенсируется качественным сенсорным OLED-дисплеем, тихой работой, отличной автономностью и наличием сразу двух портов Thunderbolt 4, а также поддержкой Wi-Fi 6.

The ASUS ExpertBook series is probably my favourite series of laptops especially when you factor in the price. The mid-high-end Lenovo ThinkPads and Dell XPS are brilliant, but the price tag will set you back a couple thousand more expensive. I’d say the material choice and design contributes to the reason why the ExpertBook series is not just lightweight but looking professional as well. Pairing all the above with the 11th Gen Intel Core processor, what you get is a compact and power-efficient laptop to get things done.

The Expertbook B5’s bit of flair comes with its trackpad, which doubles as a number pad with the ASUS NumberPad 2.0. By tapping the top right corner of the trackpad, a number pad appears on the trackpad and can be then used as such. However, when that happens, the function of the trackpad and number pad are laid over each other, so it takes a bit of getting used to. There is also a fingerprint reader integrated with the power button on the right side of the laptop. It is a nice addition, and works well, even if it can be a bit awkward to access at times. Overall, the Expertbook B5 is an enterprise laptop that lives and dies by its compact 13.3-inch display. It is small enough for those who are looking for a laptop with the size and portability of a tablet, though its size also means that it’s unlikely to be one’s main workhorse. The price starts at S$1,698 and is justified by its hardy build quality, though it’s the type of laptop that will make one yearn for an upgrade if it’s the only laptop at one’s disposal.

Based on our review unit, the ASUS ExpertBook B5 is a pretty good enterprise laptop. It’s powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core CPU, has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, good array of security features, good display, very lightweight, MIL-STD-810H build standard, Numberpad 2.0 is convenient to have, comfortable keyboard, and MyASUS being a very useful, user-friendly software suite. It’s not the perfect laptop however as the speakers are subpar, the battery life is short, there is no touchscreen support, RAM is clearly lacking, performance could be a little better, and it doesn’t come with a memory card reader. For enterprise users, this should be capable of handling work well enough unless it’s particularly resource-intensive. For that, I award the ASUS ExpertBook B5 with our Bronze Pokdeward.

Unfortunately, this model will not meet my quest to find a PC that fits perfectly between leisure and work. In fairness, it ticks all the right boxes but based on its specifications (and price), I found it too bulky/heavy to use in bed or on the lounge, and overkill for my personal needs. This PC is a business person’s dream given that it’s portable, powerful and only 17mm thick. If work is paying, this is a machine to lust after, having just the right productivity features to maximise video conferencing and crunching big spreadsheets. The battery life is great, and it charges fast to keep you mobile.

The audience that ASUS is pitching the ExpertBook B5 to is quite specific – gamers and content creators need not apply – but it is not a small one. For professionals, you should care more about portability, battery life and even the build quality. With the ExpertBook B5, you will get all of these for the price of S$2,098 (the same specifications as my review unit) alongside a brilliant OLED display. It is also among the lightest business notebook available at this size, and while the unit tested comes with just 8GB, the ExpertBook B5 has plenty of upgradeability options available including dual storage slots for those that need the additional bump in storage capacity, something that I suspect not many competing business notebooks from other brands are offering. Let's not forget for those who wish to have a tablet-like usage experience, the Flip edition is also available for just a hundred bucks more. For those who wish to have the base model of the ExperBook B5 that has an IPS display and a Core i5 processor, the series starts from just S$1,498.

If it weren’t obvious by now, this is a laptop I can 100% recommend. It does everything I want, has some optional features I definitely can and do use, and it does it in a stylish design that slips easily into an already loaded work bag. For me, it’s a no brainer. Probably the only thing we can’t tell you at this very moment is pricing. Having been announced only a month ago at CES 2022, Australian pricing isn’t exactly locked in just yet, but the I5/8GB/512GB model should go for around $1850, whereas the I7/16GB/512GB model should go around $2400 depending on your retailer. Given what’s inside this machine, and it’s target market though, this is no entry level PC and it is priced accordingly. If you need a serious work laptop that will do everything you can throw at it and more, the price on ask for the ExpertBook B5 Flip is entirely reasonable, and one you’d not hesitate in spending.

The Asus ExpertBook B5 is a truly outstanding business laptop but only if you end up with the right version. Opt for the larger battery, Intel Arc A350M GPU, OLED 4K display and keyboard backlight and you've got one best lightweight 16in laptops on the market. The only area in which the LG Gram 16 bests the Asus is in the weight stakes and you have to ask yourself if 280g really makes that much difference in the grand scheme of things. Of course, the reverse of that is that if you end with a B5 with the Full HD IPS display, 50Wh battery and Intel UHD iGPU then the LG Gram 16 is 280g lighter and better. If given the choice you have to ask yourself a question: Just how well-liked are you by the IT department?

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

Intel UHD Graphics Xe G4 48EUs:

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Видеопроцессор, встраиваемый в некоторые процессоры Intel семейства Tiger Lake. Задействует новую архитектуру 12 поколения, располагает 96 кластерами унифицированных шейдеров. Максимальная частота разная в зависимости от конкретного ЦП. Изготавливается Xe Graphics G7 на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel во втором поколении.

Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Видеопроцессор, встраиваемый в некоторые процессоры Intel семейства Tiger Lake. Задействует графическую архитектуру Intel двенадцатого поколения, она же Xe. Располагает 80 кластерами унифицированных шейдеров (EU). Тактовая частота зависит от конкретной модели ЦП. Изготавливается на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel в его втором поколении.

Intel Tiger Lake:

i7-1165G7: Четырёхъядерный процессор семейства Tiger Lake. Относится к среднему уровню производительности, ориентирован на тонкие ноутбуки; частота процессорных ядер при 28-ваттовом долговременном Power Limit равна 28 Вт, максимально достижимая частота при нагрузке на одно ядро = 4.7 ГГц. Встроенный графический процессор называется Iris Xe G7 (96 блоков EU). Рассматриваемый Core i7 изготавливается на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel во втором поколении и был вторым по производительности среди всех процессоров Tiger Lake подкласса UP3, когда Intel представила их в 2020 году.

i5-1135G7: Четырёхъядерный процессор среднего уровня для ноутбуков и планшетов. Относится к семейству Tiger Lake (подкласс UP3), изготавливается на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel во втором поколении, располагает 80-блочным видеопроцессором Iris Xe Graphics G7.

Intel Alder Lake-P:

i5-1240P: Процессор среднего уровня для тонких (но активно охлаждаемых) ноутбуков. Входит в семейство Alder Lake, располагает 4 производительными ядрами и 8 экономными ядрами, первые поддерживают Hyper-Threading, вторые эту функцию не поддерживают, в сумме = 16 потоков. Процессорные ядра работают с частотой 1.2...4.4 ГГц; есть встроенный графический процессор, Iris Xe с 80 блоками EU, и поддержка функций vPro уровня "Essentials".

i7-1260P: Процессор для тонких ноутбуков с активным охлаждением. Располагает 4 производительными и 8 экономными ядрами с частотой работы в пределах 1.5...4.7 ГГц. Входит в семейство Alder Lake, подкласс P, номинальное энергопотребление = 28 ватт, максимальное = 64 ватта. Функции vPro поддерживаются на уровне "Essentials" (без возможности дистанционного управления ноутбуком). Встроенный графический адаптер, Iris Xe с 96 блоками EU, остался тем же, что был в предшествующих процессорах (Tiger Lake UP3).

Столько, как правило, весят очень лёгкие и компактные ноутбуки с диагональю экрана от 10 до 15 дюймов.

Самый обычный вес для современного ноутбука с экраном от 13 до 16 дюймов, как правило, без дискретной видеокарты.
