EN→RUAs the Asus Zenbook A14 was put on the right track to take on the MacBook Air last year, this year’s A14 and A16 march forward when it comes to performance, but while the A16 shows up strongly with pro level performance in a skinny body, the A14 takes a step back in value for money. For great ultra-portable all-rounders, Apple stays, and if you’re loyal to Microsoft’s OS and want that same experience, the Zenbook A14 is a good (if expensive) alternative. Meanwhile, the A16 sets a new precedent for a thin and light pro machine that bridges the gap between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, but the stamina suffers because of it. And with adjusted pricing showing the gap widening in bang for buck between Apple and Asus, what was a shoe-in for two of my favorite systems of the year has left me feeling indifferent.

EN→RUThe Asus Zenbook A14 (2026) is a beefy and super light Windows laptop that impresses with its potent internals from a new chip, immense endurance and a stylish look. The needle has moved a lot in price against the old model, though, and a 1920×1200 screen for the price feels a little off. Against the older Asus Zenbook A14, you’re getting a lot more grunt and a little more in the way of battery life, although for £500 more in terms of retail price. The Acer Swift 16 AI (2026) provides similar grunt with an Intel Panther Lake chip, plus a larger and higher-res OLED screen (although at the expense of 12 hours of runtime) for a similar outlay, while the Acer Swift Edge 14 AI has a higher-res OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and similar computing power for a lower price tag. Don’t get me wrong, the Asus Zenbook A14 (2026) is a lovely laptop, and a lot of it is in part due to the Snapdragon X2 Elite chip inside, but rising costs mean it suffers the same price-driven criticism as the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro. Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

X2E-88-100: X2 Elite X2E-88-100 - второй по скорости вариант SoC для ноутбуков X2, предлагающий все 18 ядер процессора, разделенных на 12 основных ядер с частотой до 4,7 ГГц (до двухъядерных, 4 ГГц все ядра) и 6 производительных ядер с частотой до 3,4 ГГц. Вместе процессорная часть имеет доступ к 53 МБ кэш-памяти. В SoC также интегрирован мощный графический процессор X2-90 с частотой 1,7 ГГц, NPU с 80 TOPS (INT8), контроллер памяти LPDDR5x-9523 с пропускной способностью 128 бит и 152 ГБ/с, а также Spectra ISP для двойных камер разрешением до 36 МП.
