EN→RUUnfortunately, this model will not meet my quest to find a PC that fits perfectly between leisure and work. In fairness, it ticks all the right boxes but based on its specifications (and price), I found it too bulky/heavy to use in bed or on the lounge, and overkill for my personal needs. This PC is a business person’s dream given that it’s portable, powerful and only 17mm thick. If work is paying, this is a machine to lust after, having just the right productivity features to maximise video conferencing and crunching big spreadsheets. The battery life is great, and it charges fast to keep you mobile.

With the ExpertBook B5, you will get all of these for the price of S$2,098 (the same specifications as my review unit) alongside a brilliant OLED display. It is also among the lightest business notebook available at this size, and while the unit tested comes with just 8GB, the ExpertBook B5 has plenty of upgradeability options available including dual storage slots for those that need the additional bump in storage capacity, something that I suspect not many competing business notebooks from other brands are offering. Let's not forget for those who wish to have a tablet-like usage experience, the Flip edition is also available for just a hundred bucks more. For those who wish to have the base model of the ExperBook B5 that has an IPS display and a Core i5 processor, the series starts from just S$1,498.

EN→RUIf it weren’t obvious by now, this is a laptop I can 100% recommend. It does everything I want, has some optional features I definitely can and do use, and it does it in a stylish design that slips easily into an already loaded work bag. For me, it’s a no brainer. Probably the only thing we can’t tell you at this very moment is pricing. Having been announced only a month ago at CES 2022, Australian pricing isn’t exactly locked in just yet, but the I5/8GB/512GB model should go for around $1850, whereas the I7/16GB/512GB model should go around $2400 depending on your retailer. Given what’s inside this machine, and it’s target market though, this is no entry level PC and it is priced accordingly. If you need a serious work laptop that will do everything you can throw at it and more, the price on ask for the ExpertBook B5 Flip is entirely reasonable, and one you’d not hesitate in spending.

The CPU is great for daily work and while the GPU has its limitations, it should please users who are not into hardcore gaming. The flip screen and touchscreen support add further versatility. The multiple ports ensure good external connectivity. However, the biggest strength of this laptop lies beyond its specifications. It’s the comfort it brings. The overall compact form factor and lightweight nature of the device makes it a great business or university laptop. The only thing you need to consider is the hefty price tag.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Видеопроцессор, встраиваемый в некоторые процессоры Intel семейства Tiger Lake. Задействует новую архитектуру 12 поколения, располагает 96 кластерами унифицированных шейдеров. Максимальная частота разная в зависимости от конкретного ЦП. Изготавливается Xe Graphics G7 на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel во втором поколении.
Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

i7-1165G7: Четырёхъядерный процессор семейства Tiger Lake. Относится к среднему уровню производительности, ориентирован на тонкие ноутбуки; частота процессорных ядер при 28-ваттовом долговременном Power Limit равна 28 Вт, максимально достижимая частота при нагрузке на одно ядро = 4.7 ГГц. Встроенный графический процессор называется Iris Xe G7 (96 блоков EU). Рассматриваемый Core i7 изготавливается на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel во втором поколении и был вторым по производительности среди всех процессоров Tiger Lake подкласса UP3, когда Intel представила их в 2020 году.
