Первый протестированный нами ноутбук на процессоре Alder Lake не разочаровал. Asus TUF Gaming F15 (2022) — это одно из младших решений в игровой линейке компании с дискретной видеокартой, причем хотя видеокарта используется далеко не топовая, всего лишь GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop, уровень потребления у нее выкручен на максимум (даже за максимум), в результате ноутбук Asus в играх оказывается быстрее, чем [условно] бюджетные решения с GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop, и его производительности достаточно для игры почти во всё в родном (повышенном) разрешении экрана с максимальным качеством графики. Все остальное также весьма понравилось: практичный, умеренно тяжелый и большой корпус, добротный IPS-экран 2560×1440 с расширенным цветовым охватом и повышенной частотой обновления (правда, не особо яркий), однозначно очень мощный процессор, достаточное количество расширяемой памяти, быстрый SSD с возможностью установки второго, актуальный набор портов и достаточное их количество. Рекордов автономности от игровых машин никто, наверное, не ждет, но время работы от батареи в данном случае уж никак не провальное.

Все остальное также весьма понравилось: практичный, умеренно тяжелый и большой корпус, добротный IPS-экран 2560×1440 с расширенным цветовым охватом и повышенной частотой обновления (правда, не особо яркий), однозначно очень мощный процессор, достаточное количество расширяемой памяти, быстрый SSD с возможностью установки второго, актуальный набор портов и достаточное их количество. Рекордов автономности от игровых машин никто, наверное, не ждет, но время работы от батареи в данном случае уж никак не провальное.

Okay, wrapping up this review, the 2022 edition of the Asus TUF Gaming F15 is a clear winner—oh, yes. The performance jump compared to 11th Gen CPU in its predecessor is huge, whereas Asus has gone the extra mile to include the highest TGP RTX 30 series GPU too. But simply throwing in high-performance processors is just half the battle when it comes to delivering a great gaming experience. You also need a competent thermal system that can keep the temperature in check and a display that’s able to keep up. Thankfully, the F15 has got it all covered! Once again, I wish its base model had a 100% sRGB color gamut too, but I guess that’s too much to ask for in the mid-range segment. So if you’re a gamer or even a content creator looking to buy a new laptop at this price range, I feel confident recommending the TUF F15 to you. I tried but I really can’t find any major, deal-breaking flaw here. I can obviously nitpick about a few things like the underwhelming speakers, uneven keyboard backlighting, and a couple of other stuff.

Sure, I still have some nits with the ergonomics of this series and the choked fan intakes with the laptop sitting on a desk, but overall the TUF Gaming F15 lineup is a worthy contender this year. Don't expect long runtimes on battery, though - if that's important, go with the AMD variants instead.

This review requires that we make an exception. Due to different cooling components, two versions of the same laptop might be a great and a not-so-great choice. The RTX 3050 device which we had with us shows a very capable performance in real life. Games at 1080p resolution won’t be a problem. However, long gaming sessions will result in high noise and not a super comfortable temperature for the GPU (not to be mistaken with the external temperature, which is pretty good). In addition, we found out that the CPU can’t keep its high clocks for long periods of time, which may not be ideal for people who are into video editing, or 3D modeling. ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX507’s IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a good contrast ratio. Its backlight doesn’t use PWM for brightness adjustment. This is great if you are planning to have long gaming sessions. On the other hand, the color coverage is limited to only 56% of the sRGB color gamut. In addition despite the 144Hz refresh rate, pixel response times are slow, which will result in ghosting. Yet again, you can still choose the other options, all of which should be pretty good. Let’s also not forget to mention the presence of a MUX switch. It will improve your fps in pretty much every game. In terms of autonomy, the battery lasts about 8 hours of Web browsing or 6 hours of video playback. This is a pretty fine result for a laptop in this class. Combine it with a great keyboard and touchpad, and you get a fantastic everyday device. We have to mention that some models will feature DDR4 RAM, while others will be with DDR5 memory. Why? We don’t know. What we do know is that there are two SODIMM slots for memory, and two M.2 PCIe x4 slots for storage. Both of the storage slots support Gen 4 SSDs, which is a bit of good news. Well, the port selection lacks an SD card reader but makes up for it with enough USB Type-As, a LAN port, HDMI 2.0b, and a Thunderbolt 4 connector. At the end of the day, we can tell you that buying the TUF F15 FX507 is worth it.

Мобильная RTX 3070 показывает отличные результаты для своего уровня энергопотребления. Это достойный лэптоп, показывающий производительность на уровне консолей последнего поколения. Автономность действительно слабая, но лучше, чем у игрового компьютера от источника бесперебойного питания.
