The Infinix Zero X Pro is another solid ‘premium affordable’ handset in the mode of the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Poco X3 Pro, with a fine 120Hz AMOLED display and a strong 108Mp camera. Almost unique to this area of the market is a periscope telephoto lens that actually earns its place on the back of the phone. I'm not so convinced by the accompanying Moon Shot mode, but that’s pretty much irrelevant in daily (and even nightly) shooting. Where the phone falls short is when it comes to reliability, chiefly in the form of battery life under more intensive conditions (even if charging is pretty fast), and a truly terrible fingerprint sensor. Elsewhere, Infinix’s software is just too overbearing for our stomachs. There’s promise here for future models, but Infinix needs to nail down those fine details and streamline its software if it’s to mix it with the budget big boys.

Its price is still a bit hard to precisely pinpoint, but if we go by the fairly safe assumption of a $400 starting MSRP for the 8GB/128GB model, the value proposition is certainly strong. At least on paper, that is. Like the saying goes, "the truth is in the details," and unfortunately, Infinix managed to fail just about as many of those as it nailed with the Zero X Pro. That makes it kind of a hassle to expect a consistently good experience out of - a reality that is not really worth settling for in today's smartphone market. You can get a much more consistently great experience elsewhere. Overall, it's a decent phone that likely won't disappoint an average user, but definitely not a device we would recommend actively seeking out and choosing.

As long as you temper your expectations going in, you should have no major issues with the device. It’s just frustrating when so much hype is put into a single feature, and that one feature falls flat. Couple that with the fact that Infinix is only offering the Zero X Pro in select regions (not the U.S.), and it’s not the greatest recipe for success.

While I might be picky on a phone’s software experience regardless of its class, some may not mind as much as long as it doesn’t cause app crashes and freezes, and if you can live with bloat on a phone, then I have no problems recommending the Infinix ZERO X NEO at RM879, which you can head over here to purchase one.

The Infinix Zero 5G offers a good combination of features on paper, which is what got my attention in the first place. The things going in its favour are the powerful 5G SoC with support for a good number of 5G bands, good battery life with relatively quick charging, and an above-average telephoto camera. However, the performance of the rest of the cameras and the awkward software experience make this phone hard to recommend. If you're really after a good telephoto camera at around this price range, then I recommend spending a bit more and getting the Motorola Edge 20 (Review). It has an equally powerful 5G SoC but with a 3X telephoto camera, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and an IP52 rating. If you need to stick to a budget of Rs. 20,000, then you have excellent options such as the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G (Review) and Realme 9 5G Speed Edition (Review) to choose from.

Infinix has been one of those brands trying hard to make its own place amongst the consumers in India. Realme, Oppo, Vivo, & Samsung seem to be its biggest competitors in the segment in which Infinix generally launches its smartphones. The brand seems to upping its game with the launch of its newest Infinix Zero 5G. The Zero 5G from Infinix comes at Rs 19,999 for its single 8GB + 128GB variant. However, the on-paper specifications include some of the first in its segment, such as a Dimensity 900 SoC. The Reno 7 with this SoC is priced at Rs 28,999. Infinix’s main competitors in this price range include iQOO Z5, Vivo T1 and the recently launched Realme 9 Pro. Does Infinix Zero 5G prove to be better than its alternatives? Let’s have a look. The Infinox Zero 5G is a decent device for its price where you are getting LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Moreover, the device has a distinctive design in its segment and software has improved a lot but there is still scope for further improvement.

The brand seems to upping its game with the launch of its newest Infinix Zero 5G. The Zero 5G from Infinix comes at Rs 19,999 for its single 8GB + 128GB variant. However, the on-paper specifications include some of the first in its segment, such as a Dimensity 900 SoC. The Reno 7 with this SoC is priced at Rs 28,999. Infinix’s main competitors in this price range include iQOO Z5, Vivo T1 and the recently launched Realme 9 Pro. Does Infinix Zero 5G prove to be better than its alternatives? Let’s have a look. Сегмент, когда ты уже готов заплатить 25 тысяч, но еще не согласен превышать 30, довольно интересный: realme 9 Pro+ на 128 или 256 ГБ, OnePlus Nord CE2 на 128, Samsung Galaxy A33 если нужно немного сэкономить и Galaxy A53 при бюджете побольше. А еще POCO X4 Pro и совсем впритык к 30 000 рублей — Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro. Получается очень существенный разброс по дизайну продуктов и довольно большие отличия по техническому оснащению. Например, realme 9 Pro+ хоть и не такой уж свежий, но точно выиграет по качеству съемки на основную камеру, равно как и Galaxy A53. OnePlus годится как вариант для любителей необычного. Xiaomi и POCO — скорее для тех, кто по умолчанию считает, что Сяоми лучше. Но в данном случае как-то не особо: процессоры не сильно уж скоростные, оперативки всего 6 ГБ. В итоге выходит что Infinix Zero 20 может и не лучший в классе, но смотрится довольно уверенно. Helio G99 быстрый, памяти в достатке, экран (ура!) стоит качественный. Основная камера более-менее на уровне прочих, фронталка — лучше всех. Другой вопрос стоит ли гнаться за таким качеством съемки своего лица или сделать ставку на лучшую производительность основной камеры? Это уже вам решать.

Infinix ZERO 20 – хороший пример смартфона, который не пытается быть отличником во всем, а притаскивает в околобюджетный сегмент избранные элементы от гаджетов подороже, оставаясь при этом относительно сбалансированным. Здесь выдающаяся по характеристикам (и просто неплохая по качеству съемки) фронтальная камера, быстрая зарядка, стереодинамики и весьма приличная тыльная камера, которую вполне ожидаешь увидеть в смартфоне на 5-10 тысяч дороже. Это сочетается с аппаратной платформой с более недорогого Infinix NOTE 12 (2023), средней автономностью и простоватыми материалами корпуса. По сути, это «субфлагман» в мире Infinix – компания, которая специализируется на недорогих смартфонах, вполне может так позиционировать модель за 20 тысяч рублей. И на мой вкус, ZERO 20 имеет шансы стать если не хитом (все-таки у него достаточно нишевая ключевая фишка), то одним из самых популярных смартфонов бренда — он этого заслуживает.

Infinix Zero Ultra, пусть это и флагманский смартфон для бренда, идеально подходит под слегка уродливое определение «субфлагмана» — устройства частично с топ-характеристиками, а частично с вполне средними. И при этом — по достаточно разумной цене. На самом деле решение Infinix не играть сразу «на все деньги» со смартфоном за 100 тысяч и платформой Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, беспроводной зарядкой и прочими признаками высшего общества вполне обоснованно. Для этого пока не хватает репутации. А вот выделиться несколькими крутыми и даже уникальными функциями на фоне качественного исполнения в целом — самое то. Козырь 200-мегапиксельной камеры при этом разыгрывается не до конца — чуть подводит программная обработка снимков, хотя в целом качество фото я бы назвал очень неплохим. А вот самая быстрая в мире зарядка — против такого не попрешь. Дополним это быстрым изогнутым AMOLED-экраном, спокойным, но при этом не лишенным определенной изюминки дизайном и в целом качественным исполнением — и картина получается вполне благостная, пусть даже смартфон и отстает от конкурентов по мощи. Сохранить бы еще промоцену в 40 тысяч подольше...

So now, in terms of the interface, it's not too bad, and everything else looks good or even perfect. 180-watt charging is a great advantage - at the moment I see no competition for Infinix Zero Ultra. In addition, the phone is quite nice, well made, takes quite decent photos and, in fact, not the worst movies, although it could be better here. It has stereo speakers - not always sounding perfect, but it does. It comes with headphones, also not sensational, but it does.

If I briefly describe my impressions of the Infinix Zero Ultra after more than 3 weeks of testing, I can simply say that I liked it overall. The smartphone is hassle-free, although not without flaws, but it has more positive aspects than negative ones. The main points that I can attribute to the undoubted advantages of Zero Ultra are a bright screen, high energy efficiency and autonomy, as well as record-breaking fast charging, stereo speakers, reliable software operation in general, and, of course, the main camera module of 200 megapixels with optical stabilisation. The main drawback of the device, oddly enough, is the same Dimensity 920 processor that provides it with excellent energy efficiency – not that it’s bad (on the contrary, it’s one of my favourites), but it’s just not up to par with this smartphone, so using it raises one big question for me. Why? I also didn’t really like the obvious Chinese approach to the XOS shell, or rather the fact that it is very rich in built-in applications and tools. It’s probably a matter of taste and habit, but perhaps this point requires a deeper study.

The 200-megapixel camera could use better optimisation to get the best results. While the 180W fast charging is super quick, actual battery life is not as good. There's no Android 13 either and while the update is expected, there is no confirmation of when that will happen. Unless you want a phone that charges fully in in 15 minutes, there are better performing options in this price range. All in all, I think the Infinix Zero Ultra is a hard sell for Rs 36,999 as other options such as the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G or the iQoo Neo 6 offer a better experience and cost a lot less.

INFINIX добилась успеха благодаря отличной цене устройства, обеспечивая при этом быстрый чипсет с достойным откликом при интенсивном использовании. А действительно элегантный дизайн и большое время автономной работы увеличивают общую ценность устройства. Однако программное обеспечение нуждается в улучшении, динамик требует доработки, камера в лучшем случае является средней, а отсутствие Widevine L1 определенно является минусом.

Infinix has certainly tried to push limits with this one. The Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Turbo comes with a simple yet eye-catching design, offers a good LTPS display, and is high on performance. It provides a good battery life and has consistency in network reception. However, its average cameras, bloated UI, and limited software support are some of the things to consider before purchasing. If you can get past the aforesaid limitations and your budget is strictly Rs 20,000, then it’s a good device to consider for the asking price of Rs 19,999. With card offers or exchange discounts, the device can be picked up for a cheaper price. But is worth noting that there are other offerings as well in this segment, which you can check before purchasing the Zero 5G 2023 Turbo. Some of the competitors of the device are Realme 10 Pro and Poco X5 Pro. The Realme 10 Pro has a design of its own but packs a slightly weaker chip (mainly for gaming). Also, it has a maximum of 1080p 60fps video recording support, unlike Zero 5G’s 4K 30fps support. The Poco X5 Pro, on the other hand, offers an AMOLED display and an ultra-wide camera. The Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Turbo is equipped with a good SoC and decent cameras, but a not-so-great display, and is priced at Rs. 19,999 in India. Не могу однозначно сказать, что Infinix ZERO 30 5G настолько же круче ZERO 30 4G, насколько и дороже. Ключевые ценности у них общие: симпатичный дизайн, изогнутый и быстрый AMOLED-дисплей, неплохое качество съемки на тыльную камеру, достойная автономность при быстрой зарядке. Да, преимущества у 5G-версии тоже есть: широкоугольная камера (вполне неплохая), еще более высокая частота обновления и частота ШИМ экрана, больше оперативной памяти и, главное, более мощная аппаратная платформа. Но, во-первых, прирост мощности относительно Helio G99 мы видим пусть и заметный, но не поражающий воображение, а, во-вторых, вместе с этим приростом мы получаем и риск перегрева. Тем не менее можно смело порекомендовать этот смартфон геймерам — в первую очередь даже не из-за платформы, а из-за (частичной) поддержки 144-герцевой частоты в играх.

There are also a couple of optimization issues for Infinix to sort out but all in all, the Zero 30 makes a lot of sense under 25,000 rupees. I’ll admit — this segment does have a few other compelling options like the Motorola Edge 40 Neo(review) and the iQOO Z7 Pro as well — but it easily stands out against the competition.
