realme 16 5G несколько проваливается между классами со своим двояким позиционированием. С одной стороны – это, очевидно, имиджевый смартфон, легкий, компактный, с зеркальцем (фактически бесполезным, но сам факт его присутствия уже определяет целевую аудиторию – преимущественно женскую). С другой – оформлен он довольно скучно, цвета неяркие, а ключевыми его потребительскими характеристиками оказывается действительно впечатляющая автономность, прочность и отличная фронтальная камера (хотя зеркало, казалось бы, намекает, что ее можно игнорировать). В итоге выглядит так, будто realme 16 5G способен привлечь в первую (и, пожалуй, единственную) очередь тех, кто ищет в нижнем среднем классе наиболее компактный, но при этом не сильно проседающий по основным характеристикам смартфон – у большинства недорогих «слимов» и «эйров» он выигрывает по автономности и той самой прочности буквально в одну калитку. И одиночная (неплохая, но далеко не выдающаяся) камера на их фоне смотрится уже не слабо, а вполне нормально. При этом надо учитывать, что это именно просто удобный смартфон, не ставящий рекордов по легкости или тонкости и берущий свое во многом благодаря экрану не самой большой диагонали.

But for users who want an experience beyond the bare basics, there is stuff left to be desired. The camera system lacks OIS and an ultrawide, which limits how versatile the setup really is. And 60W charging, while adequate, feels like a missed opportunity when rivals at a similar price are offering faster charging support. Taken together, these gaps are hard to ignore at the Realme 16 5G’s new asking price. The Nothing Phone 4a (review), for instance, brings a more powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and a far more flexible camera setup with ultrawide and telephoto lenses. The 60W fast charging also seems reliable, helping top up the battery quickly. Performance in day-to-day tasks feels smooth so far, with no major issues in regular usage. The software experience is also fluid, though we will test long-term performance in detail. Overall, the Realme 16 5G makes a strong first impression with its battery, camera features, and design.
