С фантазией. Сделать субноутбук премиум-класса на основе платформы от AMD ещё никому не приходило в голову. Так что Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite заслуживает гордого звания первопроходца, это точно. Жаль, что разработчики забыли: невысокая производительность крайне плохо сочетается с завышенной стоимостью.

The performance from the Ativ Book 9 Lite's AMD A6 processor harks back to another era. The screen is irredeemably bad, as are the speakers. If you run into this laptop, keep walking.

We loved the price and the (almost) faithful design to the Series 9 range. The chassis is super-thin and extremely stylish, as long as you look past the redesigned lid. Overall it's a good-looking machine and at face value it knocks the socks off the competition in terms of aesthetics. Our list of disappointments reads like a naughty schoolboy's report card. The blurry, poor-resolution screen, the plastic lid, the poor benchmark scores, and the own-brand chip all make for sorry reading. Some of these negatives are simply down to cost-cutting measures, and it's important to remember that this Samsung model exists for those on a budget. But you only have to look as far as the Asus Zenbook S200 or the VivoBook S400 for an altogether more impressive low-cost machine.

Provided you can tolerate and average screen, this is a great buy. For the money the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite is a smart, stylish and practical laptop with very good battery life. It's not a speed demon and is no good for games, but you won't find many laptops as light and portable and a good at this price. We do recommend you buy the non-touchscreen version, though. It's £100 cheaper, a bit lighter and is identical in every other way.

It's built to be future-proof, and you won't be disappointed with any aspect of its performance. Its price is the only area you'll need to convince yourself on. All told, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite may have a passing resemblance to the highly rated Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus, but it's only skin deep. Even among other entry-level ultrabooks and desktop replacements, the Book 9 Lite has frustratingly slow performance and only middling battery life. For a better touch-screen laptop at a similar price, the Editors' Choice Lenovo IdeaPad U430 Touch is still the better option.

It delivered a Notebook WorldBench 8.1 score of 198. That puts it on a par with some of the other Ultrabooks we’ve tested, such as the Asus B400A Ultrabook (197) and the Lenovo IdeaPad U430 Touch. It’s twice as fast as our benchmark testing unit, the Asus VivoBook S550CA. If you don’t have one of these other Samsung devices, or if you do, but don’t intend to use the Ativ Book 9 Lite as an extension of it, look elsewhere. You’ll get a higher-quality laptop for a lower price.

There’s a lot to like about the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite. It’s relatively thin and light, offers decent day-to-day performance, and up to 6 hours of battery life. If it weren’t for the fact that I spent $800 on my Series 9 notebook a year ago and got a model that’s thinner, lighter, and faster, it’d be a lot easier to recommend the ATIV Book 9 Lite.

I started off liking the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite. Its plastic casing didn't bother me as I appreciated its light weight and slim form factor, carrying it around a lot and rarely running out of juice. The graphics performance was also pleasing, on the whole. Even the vague suggestion that this laptop could be running a tablet chip didn't appear to be an encumbrance. Yes, I was prepared to be quite forgiving as I spent most of my time with it presuming it cost £400, which even then seemed a bit on the high side. It was only later I discovered its £500 pricetag, which rather took the shine off things for me. Surely, if you're touting a product as a Lite model, it really should be light on the wallet too – and especially so if you've something to hide.

It may not come cheap, but the Samsung Ativ 9 Plus looks and feels its money. It’s a great looking laptop of near-flawless build quality and a brilliant screen. The superb screen resolution ensures that other laptops using similarly up-to-date components will offer better battery life, but thanks to the optimisation of the Intel Haswell CPU, it lasts for a full day of work anyway. Ultrabooks don’t get much better than this.

Overall, this is definitely one of the best looking, if not the best looking budget laptop on the market. Премиальный ультрабук Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus, без сомнения, достоит внимания. Пока что он не доступен на российском рынке, и точная его цена неизвестна, однако на официальном сайте рассмотренная комплектация была оценена в $1400, у нас, естественно, будет дороже. Что понравилось в данном лэптопе? Конечно, дизайн – устройство чрезвычайно стильное и полностью соответствует сегодняшней моде. Безусловно, впечатляет дисплей, такое решение пока что ново и необкатано производителями, но вот в его целесообразности пришлось усомниться, так как не все адаптировано под 3200x1800 точек, в том числе и глаза. Производительность, автономность – все показатели не выбиваются за рамки возможного, ATIV Book 9 Plus хорошо использовать и дома, и в путешествиях. Что получаем в сухом остатке? Хороший ультрабук от именитого бренда, которому есть, чем удивить, если вы готовы здорово потратиться на его приобретение.

Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus – Элитный Солдат Ультратонких Лэптопов

Премиальный ультрабук Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus, без сомнения, достоит внимания. Пока что он не доступен на российском рынке, и точная его цена неизвестна, однако на официальном сайте рассмотренная комплектация была оценена в $1400, у нас, естественно, будет дороже. Что понравилось в данном лэптопе? Конечно, дизайн – устройство чрезвычайно стильное и полностью соответствует сегодняшней моде. Безусловно, впечатляет дисплей, такое решение пока что ново и необкатано производителями, но вот в его целесообразности пришлось усомниться, так как не все адаптировано под 3200x1800 точек, в том числе и глаза. Производительность, автономность – все показатели не выбиваются за рамки возможного, ATIV Book 9 Plus хорошо использовать и дома, и в путешествиях. Что получаем в сухом остатке? Хороший ультрабук от именитого бренда, которому есть, чем удивить, если вы готовы здорово потратиться на его приобретение.

Of course when we start criticising a laptop for having a too-high-resolution screen and not being quite powerful enough for high-end gaming, we are being overly picky. You don't buy an Ultrabook for hardcore gaming - you buy an Alienware 17 or PlayStation Vita Slim. And as far as the screen goes, well, that's more of a Windows 8.1 flaw than any fault of the Ativ Book 9 Plus. That said, this isn't quite the MacBook-beater we were hoping for. It still feels a little underpowered given its high price, and if you're after a Windows 8.1-running Ultrabook, we'd go for the Asus Zenbook UX302 instead. Still, lovely screen.

The ATIV Book 9+ is an awesome laptop and it’s not easy to find a real competitor in the PC space because most systems either don’t have a QHD+ display, are significantly bulkier, or don’t have the level of “polish” that this laptop has. I like computers like the Yoga 2, which offers an impressive features/price ratio, but it doesn’t match the design of the ATIV Book 9+. The ASUS Zenbook UX301LA-XH72T (2.6lbs!) is also worth mentioning along with the Sony Vaio 13 Pro… I haven’t used them yet, but they look good on paper.

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 is still one of the most stylish Ultrabooks out there. It combines that with performance and productivity in a well-balanced package with no major issues to speak of. Compared to the previous version of the ATIV/Series9 Haswell it offers big battery life advantages over Ivy Bridge but we question the need for such a high DPI screen considering the issues with some applications on the desktop. Touch, we feel, is becoming more and more useful as users adapt and Windows 8 Modern UI apps evolve. It would have been nice to see AC support on the WiFi, the inclusion of the important port adaptors and maybe next time round Samsung will need to think about WiGig but as it is, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 is an extremely strong Ultrabook offering that, in many respects, leads the way.

What were Samsung thinking of when they designed this notebook? Perhaps it is aimed at those who desire portability, ease of use and modest computing power while wanting something bigger than a tablet with a keyboard, all at a reasonable price. Anyone upgrading from a netbook to this model would appreciate the larger screen and much better responsiveness. Samsung have also catered for both those who want a touchscreen notebook and for those who don't. They could well be watching the sales statistics with interest given Intel's view that touchscreen is the only way forward for the smaller notebooks.

The Samsung Notebook 7 Spin isn’t a laptop for everyone; I personally wouldn’t buy it, because I’m willing to sacrifice some features for portability. But if you happen to be looking for a 15-inch Windows 10 laptop that "bends" and can support a fairly heavy workload, this one should at least be a consideration. Samsung has managed to cram a lot of power into a $1,199 15-inch laptop, compared with the $1,2999 Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 15, the less powerful $1,249 HP Spectre x360 15T, and the unbending $2,229 Dell XPS 15 and $1,999 15-inch MacBook Pro. That alone is a feat, even if its design is not.

We had no trouble deciding to give the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Pro four stars on our five-star rating scale. It's relatively trim for a 15.6-inch laptop, squeezing under the four-and-a-half-pound line. Its display and keyboard are both above average, and its sound well above average. Except for some screen wobble, it's solidly built.

Samsung:
Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся лишь с самыми простыми играми, больше подходя для простых дел - просмотра видео в Сети и обработки документов. Плюсом можно считать скромный нагрев и расход энергии.
Intel HD Graphics 4000: Видеопроцессор, встраиваемый в некоторые центральные процессоры Intel семейства Ivy Bridge. Поддерживает DirectX 11, располагает 16 блоками EU, изготавливается на 22-нанометровом производстве. Располагает разной максимальной Boost-частотой в зависимости от конкретной модели центрального процессора, что заметно влияет на производительность.
Intel HD Graphics 4400: Низковольтная видеокарта класса GT2 с 20 исполнительными устройствами, встроенная в некоторые процессоры Intel семейства Haswell.
Intel HD Graphics 4600: Встроенная в некоторые процессоры семейста Haswell видеокарта. Тактовая частота зависит от модели процессора.
Intel HD Graphics 5300:
