The Oppo Find N6 is one of the most complete foldables I have used in recent years. It gets the fundamentals right: a slim and comfortable design, a large inner display that feels genuinely useful, polished multitasking software, flagship-grade performance, and cameras are good too. More importantly, it does all of this without constantly reminding you that you are using a foldable, which is perhaps the biggest compliment any device in this category can receive. What impressed me most is how refined the overall experience feels. The crease is far less distracting than older generations, the hinge feels sturdy and confidence-inspiring, and the cover display is practical enough that you do not feel forced to unfold the phone for every small task. Add in fast charging and dependable battery life, and the Find N6 feels like a mature product rather than an experimental luxury gadget. That said, it is not perfect. Heavy gamers may prefer a traditional flagship with better sustained cooling, battery life does not fully match the promise of its large 6,000mAh cell, and while the cameras are fine, they still stop short of the absolute best camera phones on the market.

It’s not as if it’s a perfect device – the cameras still can’t match up to conventional flagships, and some rivals like the Pixel 10 Pro Fold have better IP ratings. Other than the creaseless display, the Find N6 doesn’t break new ground overall or set pulses racing, but it does tick all the boxes and delivers in most key aspects. The book-style foldable segment in India has been dominated by Samsung for a long time, with Google and Vivo also vying for a share of the pie. Motorola has just entered the fray with a capable contender of its own, too. It’s a bummer that the Find N6 isn’t here to compete against them, because it would have given the others a reason to worry… it is actually that good.

The Oppo Find N6 is a firm, no-question must-buy. The design is durable, ergonomic, and attractive. The Zero-Feel Crease is a genuine improvement and a clever piece of engineering. The software gets multitasking right, the overall performance is excellent, it charges really fast, and the camera takes great photos. I used the Find N6 for 10 days in February, and then for another eight days in March, and each time I’ve only changed because I had to put my SIM in another phone. I’m going to swap again once this review is done, but if I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t. The Find N6 has won me over due to the work done to solve common foldable phone pain points. It means I can more easily concentrate on the things that make a big foldable so desirable, like video, games, and photo editing. Unfortunately, Oppo’s making it rather hard to buy the Find N6 anywhere outside Asia or Australia. Great if you live there, not so good if you don’t.

The Oppo Find N6 is my new favourite foldable. Last year’s model felt like Oppo’s first foldable flagship that was slim and light enough to actually replace my bar phone, and the N6 doubles down on that, as well as improves on a few of last year's weaknesses with enhanced cameras and a nearly invisible (in most lights) crease. Phone performance is excellent, powering through creative tasks, with a battery that lasts all day, and often a little more. I also continue to think Oppo makes some of the nicest smartphone software around. The cameras are also impressive enough that I never felt regret that I was just carrying a foldable. Oppo’s continued Hasselblad partnership and Lumo image engine produce really nice colors with balanced HDR and a good amount of detail, especially from the new 200MP sensor. Still, the Find N6 does not quite rewrite the rules.

The seven-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 doesn’t quite match the best bar-style flagships in raw benchmarks, the secondary cameras and low-light performance still trail traditional camera phones, and, most importantly, it’s not getting a wider release beyond China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand, making it a non-starter for most. If you’re willing to import, the Find N6 is one of the most complete foldable options around – it’s just a shame that, for most people, it’ll remain more aspirational than attainable. After spending time with the Find N6, I came away feeling that Oppo has done more than just refine the formula. This is one of the few foldables that feels designed around everyday use rather than the novelty of unfolding into a larger screen. The ergonomics are better than expected, the crease is remarkably well controlled, battery life is strong, and the software makes the larger display feel genuinely useful. It is still an expensive device, and the camera system does not quite reach the level of the best camera-focused flagships. Even so, the more I used the Find N6, the more complete it felt. There is a level of polish here that remains rare in this category, and it makes a very strong case for itself as one of the best all-around foldables available right now.
