Screen quality is decent but as laptop that begs to be used as a multimedia professional’s desktop replacement, the 4K 120hz screen doesn’t have the best colors which would work against it for those designing for color accurate usage. For anything else, its definitely a usable screen and its resolution allows it to be quite flexible as we scale from 1080p to 1440p and max out at 4K all at 120hz. As this is an engineering unit, I’m trying to cut back on talking about thermals but I am quite sure this is close to final if not retail ready so the cooling is indeed quite decent but just audible. Another thing worth noting here is the build quality on the body which is good but still not the best plastic when it comes to feel and at this price range, I don’t some sort of smooth plastic housing my laptop. And as mentioned, there is the matter of price. Php325,000+ or just over $6000. You surely are paying for performance here and you absolutely will get it but depending on how willing yo are to carry that weight around, you’re also paying for a 5KG portable soluiton. While I can lug that around no problem, I’ve seen more petite women carry the GT80 TITAN before because they need the power for work. With many laptops offering nearly 5 times the performance of that older model, the MSI GT77 TITAN’s appeal is easily diminished leaving the MSI GT77 TITAN a very niche solution.

There are various configuration options offered by the company, and depending on availability, you can save some money by opting for lesser RAM and/or storage and eventually upgrade down the line. But even so, the asking price is more than enough to build a rock-solid gaming desktop, with all the necessary peripherals. In fact, you will still end up saving enough money for a powerful mainstream gaming laptop. Having said that, the Titan GT77 12UHS is truly the fastest and the most powerful gaming laptop that I tested in 2022. No other laptop can match the performance of this beast by a mile. If money is not of any concern to you, then this is the best desktop replacement.

We were clear about the differences in performance as we were running benchmark tests and had the two laptops sat side-by-side, however we are not so sure that a customer who buys the MSI Titan GT77 will be aware they are leaving performance on the table. The Asus Armoury Crate software tells you what the laptop is doing and how it is performing where by contrast the MSI Center software is vague and unhelpful. This is a large, impressive and fast laptop however we are confident that a more effective cooling system would make it even better.

There are a multitude of configurations available for this laptop, spanning a couple of generations, at prices starting around $2,800 and peaking north of $5,000, which is where the particular configuration we tested lands (we couldn’t find the exact setup on Amazon at the moment). That is premium pricing territory for sure, but this is a premium machine through and through, from its 360Hz display, to its mechanical keyboard, multiple M.2 NVMe SSD, and of course NVIDIA's mobile GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and Intel's Core i9-12900HX. The performance of this machine is stellar, and so was the overall experience. If you’re shopping for a powerful, larger form factor gaming and desktop replacement laptop like the MSI GT77 Titan, by all means give this machine serious consideration. It is an absolute beast, and we mean that in the best possible way.

В MSI хотели сделать очень быстрый ноутбук — в MSI решили поставленную задачу. Будете вы использовать его в играх или же в ресурсоемких задачах — не так важно в данном случае. Да, этот обзор выходит после анонса мобильной графики GeForce RTX 40. Тайваньский производитель уже анонсировал обновление «Титанов» до новых процессоров Intel и NVIDIA. Однако факт остается фактом: в данный момент модель Titan GT77 12UHS-066RU — это самый быстрый игровой ноутбук, побывавший в нашей тестовой лаборатории. С учетом того, что GeForce RTX 3080 Ti в лэптопе работает с увеличенным лимитом мощности, протестированная модель в 2023 году даст фору и многим новинкам — как уже представленным, так и только готовящимся к выходу. По понятным причинам Titan GT77 12UHS-066RU работает достаточно шумно. Однако если смотреть на температуры, то система охлаждения устройства полностью справляется с рассеиванием 240-250 Вт тепла. Ноутбук получил отличные экран и клавиатуру. Функциональность протестированного ПК меня полностью устроила. Как и его возможности апгрейда, которыми, вероятно, даже и не воспользуешься — за ненадобностью. Наконец, время автономной работы «Титана» на удивление велико для игрового ноутбука. При этом Titan GT77 12UHS-066RU — это очень дорогое удовольствие, но было бы странно ожидать другого. Так или иначе, на мой взгляд этот мобильный ПК MSI по праву заслуживает награды «Хардкор».

И надо сказать, что эта система охлаждения на редкость хорошо справляется со своими обязанностями. Шум, конечно, порой получается очень сильным, но в ситуациях, когда тишина важнее производительности, можно просто выбрать соответствующий профиль в утилите MSI Center. А на максимуме кулеры успешно охлаждают два очень горячих чипа, суммарное потребление которых может, хотя и не очень надолго, зашкаливать за 300 Вт. Наконец, возможности апгрейда здесь если и не уникальные, то уж точно такие, которые ожидаешь увидеть разве что в десктопе: 4 слота SO-DIMM и 4 слота M.2 2280. По совокупности достижений ноутбук MSI Titan GT77 12UHS-066RU вполне достоин нашей награды.

Несъемная аппаратная начинка игрового флагмана MSI не вызывает ни вопросов, ни нареканий. Это касается топовых процессора Intel Core i9-13980HX (с разблокированным множителем) и видеокарты Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 с 16 ГБ GDDR6, сложной и высокоэффективной четырехвентиляторной системы охлаждения, конструктивно оформленной в виде отдельного отсека, отличной механической клавиатуры с низкопрофильными переключателями клавиш и великолепного IPS-экрана с разрешением 4K и подсветкой Mini-LED. На системной плате не два, как это принято, а целых три слота M.2, то есть помимо уже присутствующего системного накопителя можно установить еще два дополнительных. Слотов для оперативной памяти тоже не два — их четыре, и занята только одна пара. Максимальный объем ОЗУ при установке во все слоты 32-гигабайтных модулей составит 128 ГБ.

Titan GT77 HX 13V — сама мощь, и лэптоп MSI действительно входит в когорту самых быстрых лэптопов, доступных на российском рынке. Компьютер получил эффективную систему охлаждения, обеспечивающую низкие температуры основных узлов, энергопотребление которых переваливает за отметку в 250 Вт. Да, в производительных режимах «Титан» работает шумно, однако я не встречал тихих моделей мобильных ПК со схожим уровнем быстродействия. Как говорится, чудес не бывает. При этом запредельная производительность ноутбука — не главная его фишка. И точно не единственная. Titan GT77 HX 13V обзавелся новейшим дисплеем с подсветкой Mini-LED. Матрица отлично подходит как для создания контента, так и для его потребления. Как всегда, у меня нет претензий к качеству сборки устройства, к его клавиатуре, к функциональности, к звуку, к возможностям самостоятельного апгрейда и обслуживания. Даже автономность в обновленном «Титане» подтянули до хорошего уровня! Как итог, модель Titan GT77 HX 13V получает награду «Хардкор».

Несмотря на ценник, MSI Titan GT77 HX 13V обязательно найдет своего покупателя. Есть немало хорошо обеспеченных любителей компьютерной техники, которых цена устройства интересует меньше всего. Именно для таких пользователей он создан. Чтобы получить все лучшее, приходится дорого платить. Цель Титана не в том, чтобы дать что-то действительно выгодное за свои деньги, а просто собрать все лучшее в одном компактном корпусе. Производителю это удалось, за исключением вебки. Высокая стоимость, относительно медленная зарядка, странное поведение экрана в автономном режиме и низкое качество камеры стали главными препятствиями к желаемой отметке в пять баллов.

The MSI GT77 Titan (2023) is the first laptop I've gotten my hands on that features Nvidia's latest mobile RTX 4000-series GPUs and Intel's latest 13th-gen Core i9 HX processor, and I can confirm that the hype around this hardware is very, very justified. If anything, the media buzz can't even prepare you for how powerful this laptop actually is in practice, especially the RTX 4090 mobile GPU. To start, the GT77 Titan can be configured with either an Nvidia RTX 4080 or Nvidia RTX 4090 mobile with the Intel Core i9-13980HX. There are no options for a Core i7 or lower, because that's for peasants, probably. There will be no scrimping with this laptop. Obviously, the specs are the reason you are buying this gaming laptop. There is nothing all that compelling about its design, which is the same standard black stealth-bomber-car-transformer looking thing with twinkly RGB lighting that gaming laptops have been sporting for a very long time now.

So yes, this is one of the most powerful gaming laptops that money can buy. But you have to ask yourself one question: is power all you care about at the expense of so much? If the answer is “yes,” then you’ll love what insane frame rates and performance that this is capable of — not just in games but in any creatively intense workflows too. The 4K display is a sight to behold, the Cherry keyboard switches are a joy to type on, and you’ve got more than enough ports to get any job done. But the cost of all this is a behemoth of a laptop that is going stretch the capacity of a lot of backpacks, a dull, mushy 720p webcam, tinny speakers that are quickly overwhelmed by fan noise, and a dated aesthetic that you’d be a little embarrassed to whip out in public. And let’s not forget that huge price tag, too. If you can afford it, and you’ve come to the end of this review feeling OK with these compromises, you will love the MSI Titan GT77 HX. But this is definitely more of a desktop replacement than an actual laptop.

There are two downsides to note. For one, it’s a fingerprint magnet (though the smudges are easier to wipe off than they tend to be on Razer Blades). It’s also quite loud. MSI’s updated GT77 Titan is a fantastic showcase of what flagship performance looks like in 2023. It’s also a sobering reminder of the cost of that performance, with loud fans, high thermals, and an obscene price. For the few that can afford and are willing to pay for the GT77 Titan, it’s a wonderful machine. For everyone else, my main hope is that the GT77 Titan is a sign that next-gen gaming laptops will bring massive leaps in performance, rather than a touchstone for how expensive gaming laptops have gotten.
