The IdeaPad Slim 3x 15 is a little tricky to rate. On the one hand, it’s reasonably affordable at $749.99 and provides class-leading battery life. It's also much faster than some laptops in the same price range. On the other hand, you can't get around the subpar display and cramped keyboard. So, buyer beware: This is not a premium laptop by any definition. But if you find it on sale—for nearly $200 off—it suddenly becomes a super-compelling deal if you're on a tight budget. The 3x would be ideal for, say, a student who doesn't care about gaming or content creation. All in all, if you can find it for less than $600—which isn't difficult—the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3x 15 is an easy budget laptop to recommend. However, the ultimate budget laptop is still Acer's Aspire 3 (A315-24P).

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3x is a tough laptop to pass judgement on. If this was one of the $600 Snapdragon laptops we were promised by Qualcomm’s marketing push, I think it would be compelling. At $749, the compromises — the display, speakers, webcam, and GPU in particular — feel like they add up fast. On the other hand, this machine is worlds better than the Intel variant I just reviewed. You’re getting a faster CPU, faster GPU, much longer battery life, Wi-Fi 7 support, and an NPU for Copilot+ PC AI features. The laptop runs cooler and quieter. I’d much rather have the Snapdragon hardware in this chassis than that particular Intel chip. While I haven’t seen another Snapdragon laptop or Copilot+ PC with a starting retail price this low, you can often find laptops with more impressive hardware on sale around the $749 price point.

Of course, such a thing is impossible, so it’s unfair to expect the answer to be yes; but the new Lenovo comes a darned sight closer than you’d expect. Across the board, the Lenovo delivers higher levels of performance, usability and desirability than you’ve any right to expect of a budget laptop, which at the entry level is exactly what the IdeaPad Slim 3x is. But it’s when almost fully loaded that the IdeaPad Slim 3x is at its giant-killer best: a 2.5K OLED screen, Wi-Fi 7, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD for £670 is spectacular value.

Qualcomm Adreno X1-45 1.7 TFLOPS: Интегрированный графический адаптер, которым оснащен 8-ядерный процессор Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 SoC. По сравнению с более быстрыми iGPU X1-85 с тактовой частотой 3,8 TFLOPS и 4,6 TFLOPS, этот не просто работает на более низкой тактовой частоте, но и имеет в своем распоряжении меньшее количество унифицированных шейдеров, наиболее вероятное число которых - 768. Как сообщается, базовая архитектура не сильно отличается от той, что использовалась в Adreno 730. Что касается игровой производительности, то ее вполне достаточно для игр до 2020 года в таких разрешениях, как HD 720p, при низких настройках графики.
Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

SD X1-26-100: Доступный процессор (SoC) архитектуры ARM для использования в ноутбуках под управлением Windows. 8-ядерный чип Snapdragon X оснащен 8 ядрами CPU Oryon, работающими на частоте до 2,98 ГГц, а также iGPU Adreno X1-45 с производительностью 1,7 TFLOPS и NPU Hexagon с производительностью 45 TOPS. Сверхбыстрый контроллер памяти LPDDR5x-8448, известный нам по другим чипам Snapdragon X, поддержка USB 4.0, TB 4 и PCIe 4 - все это тоже есть на борту.
