Тем не менее, мы не будем утверждать, что iPad Pro с лёгкостью заменит ноутбук (было бы так — сама Apple уже не продавала бы макбуки и не изобретала бы новые модели). Да, печатать на Smart Keyboard легко и удобно, но всё же приложения для iPad Pro местами специфичны. Автор этой статьи с радостью перебрался на iPad Pro 9.7 в вопросах написания музыки, но вот та же обработка видео пока по-прежнему на Mac — просто потому, что, например, функциональность iMovie хоть и широка, но до Final Cut X не достаёт. С другой стороны, благодаря Apple Pencil рисовать или, как минимум, создавать наброски на iPad Pro даже удобнее, чем на компьютере.

Сейчас у Apple есть два планшета с экраном 9,7 дюйма. iPad Air 2 изрядно подешевел – и сейчас это просто бомбическое решение за свои деньги. 9,7–дюймовый iPad Pro отличается от него лучшим экраном, более производительной платформой и возможностью использования Smart Keyboard и Pencil. Ну и еще для «прошки» предлагают больше встроенной памяти, до 256 ГБ. В то время как iPad Air сейчас доступен максимум с 64 ГБ. Думаю, что в дальнейшем iPad Air 2 исчезнет из модельного ряда, его заменит 9,7-дюймовый iPad Pro, который постепенно станет доступнее. А каждый шаг снижения стоимости мы будет воспринимать с истинной и неподдельной радостью. Ведь это Apple…

Несмотря на то, что в планшете Apple iPad Pro 9.7 всего 9.7 дюймов, он дышит в спину своим собратьям – ноутбукам, по крайней мере, так позиционирует новинку производитель. Действительно, начинка девайса отличается производительностью, с которой едва ли смогут тягаться планшетные ПК других брендов, да что уж там, даже не все лэптопы дотянут до ее уровня!

It isn't as all-purpose as the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is a great device, but it’s better at being a tablet. It’s easier to chuck in your bag, use in bed, whip out on the train and so on. The Pixel C is the only real Android competitor, but Google’s OS simply isn't there yet when it comes to actually "getting things done". The True Tone display, booming speakers, improved performance and support for the Smart Connector set it apart from the iPad Air 2, and the bump in cost is just about worth it.

Apple made a fairly big mistake by not upgrading the iPad Air 2 last year but the new iPad Pro 9.7-inch is very much the successor to their premium tablet. There's a question over whether or not the iPad Pro 9.7 is "innovative," and I think the question should be posed differently. If the niche-focused iPad Pro 12.9 didn't come out six months ago, would this new iPad be "innovative?" I think there's enough here to justify that label. It has the looks with its True Tone display and wider color gamut technology, the sound with its four booming speakers, and the feel with its pressure-sensitive Pencil and its Smart Keyboard via the Smart Connector. It's all faster performing, there are more storage options and the 12MP is camera phone-worthy.

It’s a confusing move by Apple, especially as the larger variant only went on sale just before Christmas. There are some subtle differences like the Rose Gold option, "Hey Siri" and the camera bump but if you're going to spend £150 on the new iPad Pro instead of the iPad Air 2 it's got to be because you will make use of the better screen, extra processing power, more storage and the way it's setup for productivity. And that's with the additional cost of the Smart Keyboard and/or Apple Pencil. If you're just looking for a decent tablet for pleasure, the iPad Air 2 will suffice.

Imagination A9X / PowerVR GT7xxx: Производительный графический адаптер для мобильных процессоров архитектуры ARM, который, в частности, используется в планшете Apple iPad Pro.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.
