Косметически обновленный дизайн, достойная производительность, поддержка Apple Pencil — ничего революционного (за исключением формата фотографии HEIC вместо JPEG по умолчанию), но даже с таким набором ему в своей нише практически нет конкурентов. А поскольку большинство производителей забросили свои планшетные линейки вовсе, возвращение iPad mini тем более важно, поскольку последние годы в этом форм-факторе просто нечего было взять.

The iPad mini (2019) is a fantastic tablet overall. It's definitely not geared towards heavy productivity-oriented use, but it's almost perfect for casual use. Its form factor is perfect for commutes or travelling, and it's got really powerful hardware so performance and battery life are excellent as well. The design is pretty outdated at this point but we don't think that's going to a dealbreaker for anyone.

I have tested the iPad Mini 5 for well over a week, and I can confidently say Apple’s mini tablet is better than any other Android tablet on the market. I guess a lot of people would be willing to buy the iPad Mini as it does basically 85 per cent of what the iPad Pro does. The Apple Pencil support is a huge bonus, so is the new A12 Bionic chipset. At Rs 34,900, the iPad Mini delivers more than it promises.

Apple A12 Bionic GPU: Мобильная графика, встроенная в чипсет A12 Bionic, обещает 50% превосходство над предшественницей

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

A12 Bionic: Мобильный чипсет от Apple с шестиядерным процессором (2 производительных ядра и 4 энергоэффективных ядра). A12 Bionic - это первый 7-нм чипсет, он обезает 15% превосходство по производительности над предыдущим A11
