Мне, как обзорщику, все еще сложно привыкнуть к тому, во что превратилась серия Reno сегодня. Если вы вспомните, с чем на рынок выходила Oppo лет семь назад, то вы меня поймете. Теперь, увы, никаких выезжающих под углом фронталок и неповторимых расцветок. Да, уникальностью решили пожертвовать. Но в угоду чему? В угоду универсальности и массовости. Reno15 — это телефон, который должен нравиться всем понемногу. Плоские грани, закруглённые углы, квадратный модуль камеры — всё это работает безотказно, потому что уже проверено десятками других моделей.Но если отвлечься от ностальгии по выдвижным камерам и посмотреть на то, что происходит внутри корпуса, картина начинает складываться совсем другая. Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 — это не флагманский чипсет, но в 2026 году это уже и не имеет такого значения, как раньше. Производительности хватает на всё: от многозадачности с десятком открытых приложений до игр, которые большинство пользователей вообще не запустит.

Теперь, увы, никаких выезжающих под углом фронталок и неповторимых расцветок. Да, уникальностью решили пожертвовать. Но в угоду чему? В угоду универсальности и массовости. Reno15 — это телефон, который должен нравиться всем понемногу. Плоские грани, закруглённые углы, квадратный модуль камеры — всё это работает безотказно, потому что уже проверено десятками других моделей.Но если отвлечься от ностальгии по выдвижным камерам и посмотреть на то, что происходит внутри корпуса, картина начинает складываться совсем другая. Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 — это не флагманский чипсет, но в 2026 году это уже и не имеет такого значения, как раньше. Производительности хватает на всё: от многозадачности с десятком открытых приложений до игр, которые большинство пользователей вообще не запустит.

The Oppo Reno15 has a design to impress, and it's got a size that makes it more easily pocketable than usual. It is a well-built device with an excellent HDR OLED screen and decent performance, too. The Reno15 offers good battery life, plenty fast charging, and fairly good speakers. But what we really loved is the camera quality - main, ultrawide, zoom, and selfie - all four cameras capture great photos for the class. The video quality turned out to be average, and that's probably the only letdown we experienced during this review. The Oppo Reno15 is easy to recommend for its well-rounded package and good performance across the board. It would have been even more likable if it were cheaper and/or with wider availability. If you can find one with a rebate, it well deserves our recommendation.

The OPPO Reno15 5G will be more than enough for most people, though. Both phones offer really good performance, though the ‘Pro’ does have the edge. They have great battery life, charge really fast, and have very compelling displays too. There’s not much to complain here, in all honesty, considering the price tags, and that’s especially true for the vanilla model. I enjoyed my time with both phones, though more with the smaller, ‘Pro’ unit.

I actually think the price is reasonable in this case as other phones in this caliber is around this price point too. We also have the 512GB storage variant but the price is jacked up to RM2,399 and that’s quite a big price premium over the 256GB variant. Overall, I think this OPPO Reno15 is actually a good choice if you’re shopping for an upper mid-range smartphone right now.

Having now reviewed the device, our initial thoughts are indeed true. The Reno15 Pro is by no means a lacklustre smartphone. In fact, its design, software, camera, and battery are all great elements, and could easily prove useful for a few years before needing an upgrade. The problem, however, is that we could point to several similarly specced phones available locally for less money. Add to this some flagship phone options launched recently that are close to, or even less expensive than the Reno15 Pro, and OPPO SA may have priced itself out of contention. It is a pity, too, as by all other metrics, the OPPO Reno15 Pro is as solid a premium mid-range phone as you will encounter this year.

If it were priced slightly lower, it would be more competitive. You get decent performance output, a great 200MP camera system, decent battery life, and a strong, durable build. The long-term software support is also something that’s on-par with flagship offerings. But does the phone truly match flagship expectations? In my opinion, it falls short in a few areas. It doesn’t have as impressive a battery or display as a proper flagship; its cameras fall slightly behind the phones priced over Rs 70,000; and it doesn’t really offer top-end performance either.

Ok, so would I recommend the OPPO Reno 15 Pro Mini for INR 60,000 (NPR 97,000)? I think, for the most part, this is a very good compact phone. I genuinely enjoyed my time using it. It’s cute, it has decent cameras, the battery life is great, the display is nice, and the overall software experience is very good. However, I can’t 100% recommend this phone from my heart, because of 2 reasons: A - The performance of this phone, especially for gaming, is not the best, and overtime this phone will slow down.. and that’s something you just can’t ignore if are spending 60,000 rupees. And B - while the cameras are decent, they could have been better, especially the sensors OPPO chose for the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras.

The AI features also complement the camera features, with AI being used to bring out shadowed details in photos, removing objects even from Motion Photos (though I couldn't seem to find the feature yet) to stabilised video shots for smooth panning without a gimbal. I'm still testing these out, but here are my quick impressions.
