Intel 2348M

Intel Core i3-2348M - двухъядерный процессор для ноутбуков. Он основан на архитектуре Sandy Bridge и поддерживает технологию Hyper-Threading, позволяющую одновременную обработку до четырех потоков данных (для лучшего использования ресурсов конвейера). В отличии от Core i5, i3 не поддерживает Turbo Boost для самого процессора, так что его максимальная частота составляет 2.3 ГГц. В отличие же от Core i3-2350M, 2348M не поддерживает набор функций Intel SMB (Small Business Advantage, англ. "преимущество для малого бизнеса"), включающий блокировку USB-портов, проверку ПК, создание резервных копий данных и возможность подключать беспроводные экраны.

Архитектура Sandy Bridge - преемница архитектуры Arrandale. Самые значимые нововведения - новый набор инструкций 256-бит AVX, улучшенная технология Turbo Boost 2.0 (в i3-2348M поддерживается только для встроенной видеокарты) и перенос видеокарты в 32-нм ядро процессора.

Core i3-2348M оснащен встроенной видеокартой (Intel HD Graphics 3000), которая явно быстрее старой Intel HD Graphics в процессорах Arrandale. Так как видеокарта встроена в процессор, она тоже производится на 32-нм техпроцессе и делит быстрый кэш L3 с ядрами процессора, используя новую кольцевую шину. В 2328M видеокарта работает на частоте от 650 до 1150 МГц (в режиме Turbo Boost). В более мощных процессорах Sandy Bridge типа i5-2520M она развивает частоту в 1300 МГц.

Кроме этого, в процессор встроен двухканальный контроллер памяти DDR3, использующийся как самим процессором, так и встроенной видеокартой.

Благодаря улучшенной архитектуре, средняя производительность Core i3-2348M выше, чем у Core i3 семейства Arrandale, работающих на той же частоте. В искуственных бенчмарках, производительность чуть-чуть выше, чем у Core i3-380M (2.5 ГГц), так что для большинства приложений ее хватит.

Расчетное тепловыделение составляет 35 Вт, включая встроенную видеокарту и контроллер памяти.
