The $1,200 Acer Swift 3X truly surprised and impressed me. Our only real gripe with last year’s Swift 3 was with its performance. The Swift 3X’s combination of discrete Intel Xe Max graphics and an 11th-gen Tiger Lake processor puts that concern to rest. This tiny laptop is fast. It’s also, slender, light, and long-lasting on battery. We wish the notebook had a more color-accurate screen and an SD card slot to play up its creation focus, but those are more nitpicks than deal-breakers.

Finally, we’ve seen Intel make a real effort in the discrete GPU market. At least for laptops. If 2020 wasn’t weird enough, now it is. Nevertheless, we still think that they have a lot of work to be done, particularly in the software. As the 3DMark Firestrike Graphics score suggests, the Iris Xe Max Graphics has the raw power to compete even with the GeForce GTX 1050. However, real-world tests showed that the performance was slightly better than the MX350, and pretty much on par with the integrated Iris Xe Graphics G7.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.
Intel Xe MAX: Дискретная видеокарта для ноутбуков. Относится к начальному уровню производительности, использует архитектуру Intel двенадцатого поколения, она же Xe (как у интегрированных видеопроцессоров в процессорах семейства Tiger Lake). Располагает 96 кластерами унифицированных шейдеров. В отличие от упомянутых интегрированных видеопроцессоров, обладает 4 ГБ собственной видеопамяти LPDDR4x и более высокой частотой видеопроцессора, до 1.65 ГГц против 1.35 ГГц.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Видеопроцессор, встраиваемый в некоторые процессоры Intel семейства Tiger Lake. Задействует новую архитектуру 12 поколения, располагает 96 кластерами унифицированных шейдеров. Максимальная частота разная в зависимости от конкретного ЦП. Изготавливается Xe Graphics G7 на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel во втором поколении.
Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Видеопроцессор, встраиваемый в некоторые процессоры Intel семейства Tiger Lake. Задействует графическую архитектуру Intel двенадцатого поколения, она же Xe. Располагает 80 кластерами унифицированных шейдеров (EU). Тактовая частота зависит от конкретной модели ЦП. Изготавливается на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel в его втором поколении.

Intel Tiger Lake:
i7-1165G7: Четырёхъядерный процессор семейства Tiger Lake. Относится к среднему уровню производительности, ориентирован на тонкие ноутбуки; частота процессорных ядер при 28-ваттовом долговременном Power Limit равна 28 Вт, максимально достижимая частота при нагрузке на одно ядро = 4.7 ГГц. Встроенный графический процессор называется Iris Xe G7 (96 блоков EU).
