iQoo 16 could jump from 144Hz to 185Hz with Samsung’s next-gen 185Hz 2K display

We have covered leaks about the iQoo 16, the brand’s upcoming flagship smartphone. However, prominent tipster Smart Pikachu on Chinese social media platform Weibo has shared more details about the phone. They claim that the iQoo 16 could be one of the first models to use Samsung’s 2K display panels.
Smart Pikachu posted that the screens could feature refresh rates of 165Hz or 185Hz. These would be an upgrade from the 6.85-inch Samsung M14 OLED panel found on the iQoo 15, which offers 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone was among the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
Meanwhile, previous details leaked by Smart Pikachu indicate the iQoo 16 will come with a 200 MP main camera, paired with a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens. These will be a significant update from the camera setup on the iQoo 15, which offers a 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens.
We found the main camera on the iQoo 15 performed very well, suggesting customers can count on the iQoo 16’s shooter.
Other details, such as memory configurations, battery sizes, and prices, are not yet known. However, the iQoo 16 is expected to launch in Q4 2026.
