Новый Vivo V9, похоже, отследил практически все модные тренды. Так, этот смартфон может похвастаться не только сдвоенным тыловым фото-модулем, но и 6,3-дюймовым дисплеем с небольшой "челкой". При этом, благодаря "нестандартному" соотношению сторон (19:9) "безрамочного" экрана, новинка оказалась очень компактной. В числе прочих достоинств стоит упомянуть обилие настроек в фирменном лончере, отдельное установочное место для карты памяти microSD, а, кроме того, неплохую автономность. Особо следует отметить качественную селфи-камеру, а также и то, что фото-возможности Vivo V9 приправлены функциями искусственного интеллекта.

Лидером в этой категории аппарат назвать нельзя: конкуренция тут особенно жаркая, смотрите сравнение выше. Для съемки фото на основную камеру я его рекомендовать не могу, но во всех остальных сценариях на фоне «безрамочных» соперников V9 не теряется и, определенно, заслуживает внимания при выборе в том случае, если больше чем 30 000 вы на новый смартфон потратить не готовы. По крайней мере, у него самый большой экран и самые тонкие рамки среди альтернатив, выдающаяся «фронталка» и хороший аккумулятор. С другой стороны, все конкуренты выполнены из стекла или металла, и основная камера получше.

Moreover, if you got used to the sliding navigation gestures from the settings, this is probably the closest Android phone with an 'iPhone X' experience.

Overall, the Vivo V9 is decent smartphone with a large FullView 19:9 display in a compact body, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) and has good front and decent rear cameras. The phone also has dedicated SIM and microSD card slots, but Vivo could have gone with a better Snapdragon SoC and a metal body to compete with other phones in the range to justify the price tag of Rs. 22,990.

I hope it’s clear why I earlier mentioned the V9 fails to yield that X factor the company was hoping it would. That being said, the two features Vivo is primarily boasting about — the screen and the selfie camera do work as advertised. But the rest, unfortunately, falters. The rear camera is inconsistent, the software is in a desperate need of an overhaul, the performance is middling… you get the idea. At Rs 22,999, I certainly can not recommend the Vivo V9 to everyone but if you’re someone who strictly prioritizes selfies and a unique design, you can consider it. Although I would suggest taking a look at Motorola’s Moto X4 or even the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Pro, both of which are significantly more well-balanced phones.

It’s biggest competitor will be the recently launched Oppo F7 as that too is a selfie centric device. In the battle of selfies, Vivo might have a winner on its hands. Overall as a smartphone one can’t help but feel that the V9 could’ve been a much better device.

So it's finally here, the vivo V9 was unveiled and believe it or not, it's actually Malaysia's first device with a 19:9 screen-to-body aspect ratio to be sold commercially for RM1399. As premium as it looks, this device is actually a mid-range tier with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626, 4GB + 64GB memory capacity, a 6.3-inch display in Full HD+ resolution, 3260mAh battery, a dual rear camera (16MP + 5MP), a mega 24MP front camera, and multiple A.I. features pre-installed inside. As far as the design is concerned, it definitely gets attention, the FullView display looks amazing and its glass body sets it apart from the competition. Android Oreo ensures that it has all the latest updates and patches. The camera took decent shots, the AI Bokeh mode enables you to add the blur effect in the background while the selfies turn out to be similar to that of Vivo V7.
