Что ж, планшет Xperia Tablet Z получился как минимум интересным. Кроме того, что он является самым тонким в мире, производителей можно похвалить за качественный IPS-дисплей с поддержкой фирменной технологии Sony BRAVIA Mobile Engine 2, а также за стильный дизайн. Безусловно, нельзя обойти стороной отличную производительность, которую обеспечивает Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 и Adreno 320, да и функциональность гаджета выше всех похвал. Чего только стоит наличие модуля 3G и NFC, основной камеры с разрешением 8 Мп и тонкого герметичного корпуса, который позволяет находиться планшету в воде около 30 минут без риска поломки. Все эти достоинства помогут конкурировать «японцу» с гаджетами вроде именитого «яблочного» iPad.

Let’s first start with the bad part. Xperia Tablet Z shares a lot of common hardware with its older brother, Xperia Z smartphone. On the bad side that means quiet speakers (at least we got 3 more), and screen with smaller viewing angles. Unfortunately, list doesn’t stop there as all the software bugs Xperia Z introduced (and most of them cured after series of updates) are presented in Tablet variant several months later.

There’s very little to criticise the Xperia Tablet Z over. It’s thin, light, powerful, well-made, waterproof and it has a memory card slot. The battery life could be better but the cameras are both excellent by tablet standards, and the media playback apps and hardware are superb. In fact, I’d say the Tablet Z is the most convincing 10-inch tablet on the market at the moment and certainly the best that Sony has ever produced. If I was thinking about splashing out on a new smartphone and a new tablet, I’d spend the money on an Xperia SP and an Xperia Tablet Z, respectively. Never before would Sony have topped either my phone or tablet want-list, let alone both, so it’s clearly doing something right.

It has some neat tricks up its sleeve, like the IP55/57 certification and the IR blaster, but the comparatively low onboard storage, mediocre camera and battery life and the intermittent lag in the UI takes away from an otherwise pleasant experience. You can get a 32GB 4th Gen iPad with 3G for this money and that’s the route we’d recommend if you have this budget, as you’ll be getting a better display, camera and battery performance for a little less.

В комплекте с зарядным устройством и USB проводом (для сопряжения планшета с компьютером) идет стереогарнитура. С одной стороны, хорошо, что подобный аксессуар поставляется в комплекте. Тем более, что в новинке предусмотрена возможность совершения звонков по сотовой связи. Но с другой стороны, в комплекте премиального устройства ожидаешь увидеть гарнитуру соответствующего класса. Однако, это модель Sony MH410C, стоимость которой не превышает 450 рублей. Sony Tablet Z2 оборудован модулем для приема эфирного радио FM диапазона. Но для того, чтобы эта функция заработала, к устройству надо подключить проводную гарнитуру, которая выступает в качестве антенны. Теперь она уже гарантированно у нас есть. В опциях приложения можно выставить режим вывода звука на динамики планшета. У компании Sony снова получилось создать самый легкий, изящный и производительный планшет на Android! Очевидно, что на данный момент Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 является флагманом в царстве «Зеленого робота». Единственной проблемой для хороших продаж, очевидно, может оказаться высокая цена на старте и конкуренция со стороны B-брендов. Ведь покупатели не всегда могут понять в чем же все-таки заключаются существенные отличия при похожих технических характеристиках.

Sony has impressed us again with its latest take on the tablet, and has created what could be one of the best slates to guzzle down media on. Its waterproof skills are still a treat, and as it’s lighter than the iPad Air, you won’t even notice it in your bag - and that’s what you want from something to kick back with when you have some downtime, wherever you are. Android on a 10-inch tablet just isn’t all that special, lacking when it comes to both applications and features, where iOS and Windows 8.1 succeed respectively. There’s nothing that’s especially terrible about tablet Android, but it’s still behind its competitors and there has been little improvement since the last time I used it.

The screen works fine most of the time, but seemed to have trouble picking up touches to the navigation keys occasionally. The 8-megapixel rear camera is also disappointing.

That would be enough if it wasn’t for the fact that tablets win big on criteria you can’t put a number on - how they fit into your life, what they allow you to do that your phone’s simply too small for. Sony’s still got some way to go in packaging up its screen, performance and software expertise into more than a collection of brilliant components - a tablet with a real edge over its rivals. As it is the Z2 Tablet is a great movie machine, but a tablet costing this much needs to do more, and it’s out-worked and out-played by iPads, Samsungs and Transformers.

The Xperia Z2 Tablet is water-resistant, thin, and, because of its light build, easy to utilize on the train ride to work to get some work done. Its only major setback is that it starts at $500, so you’ll really have to consider if what it offers is worth the cash you’d have to fork over.

The iPad Air, meanwhile, has a more durable design, sharper display, and better tablet-optimized app selection for the same price as the Z2 Tablet. Sony's latest play for the hearts and minds of tablet users is a good one, and might win folks over with its design, but it fails to distinguish itself in any other meaningful way.

Дисплей планшета производит неоднозначное впечатление: картинка, что называется, «на любителя», но в высоком качестве экрану не откажешь. Таким же выглядит и дизайн: практичность здесь поставлена во главу угла. Это дает несколько приятных бонусов — очень малую толщину, массу, водонепроницаемость, надежное сцепление с ладонью.

Кроме того, не очень нас порадовала автономность, но это обратная сторона медали мощного железа и требовательного экрана. The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is a seriously impressive device and easily one of the best tablets we've ever tested. The design is astonishingly thin and light and the waterproofing with only the need for one cover is a bonus. This topped with excellent hardware, performance and software means we can barely fault it. However, the fact Sony bundles it with the Bluetooth keyboard with no option to buy it alone means that it's more expensive than rivals. We feel it's a 9/10 products but we've no choice but to mark the value score lower.

This is really important to consider, because other Snapdragon 810 devices are having overheating issues. Luckily, this does not apply in our case. Along with that, we are delighted with the camera quality as well, but the same cannot be said about the battery life. This will remain the main issue of this model and drags way behind its predecessor Xperia Z2 Tablet. And judging by the specs and result difference, can conclude that the QHD screen isn’t the main hardware draining the battery. Snapdragon 810 doesn’t appear to be energy-efficient as Qualcomm claims.

Yes, it has shortcomings -- namely woeful speakers and a reflection-loving display -- but there's a lot to love here. This could be the perfect tablet for you.

I think the Xperia Z4 Tablet is great and I do believe it's the one true alternative to the iPad. Android is still not the perfect ecosystem for tablets but with a 2K display on the front and such a nice looking design this is the best way to do it yet. It does still have its issues in the camera and the UI set up but overall it's a much more enjoyable experience than we've seen from a Sony tablet before.

While Sony is busy figuring out what to do with its flagship phone line, the Xperia Z4 Tablet manages to make a compelling case for the entire Z-series. It obviously won't get as much exposure, or generate the same sales numbers as a top-end smartphone, but shows that Sony is still capable of putting together a proficient smart device. For starters, the tablet impresses with its slim profile. At 6.1mm it's currently tied at the top of the thinness chart, together with the iPad Air 2. More impressively though, the Sony tablet easily wins the weight competition, which is arguably what matters more in daily use.

It also outshines the Surface Pro 3 for entertainment, because the Google Play store has a far better selection of apps and games than the Windows Store. If you need to run Windows programs that go beyond Office, your only option here is the Surface Pro 3. It's more expensive, bigger and heavier than the Sony tablet, but the 12in screen is more comfortable to look at if you'll be working long hours with it.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности совершенно не подходят для игр. Скорее всего, даже в повседневных делах пользователь столкнётся с ограничениями, такими, как отсутствие аппаратного декодирования видео или невозможность подключения монитора с актуальным разрешением.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности практически не подходят дли игр, но справятся с самыми простыми делами, вроде отображения 2D-материала на экране умеренного разрешения.
