The Spectre is one of the best 2-in-1's out there. With its killer look and included stylus, HP did an excellent job fine-tuning a nearly perfect machine. The latest model now has everything you'd expect from a top-of-the-line convertible laptop: a 360-degree hinge, a thin profile, a stylish color scheme, and a sharp-looking display. This laptop checks off a ton of boxes. Though I've fallen head-over-heels for this laptop, there's still a couple of misgivings I'd like to address.

At ~$1499, the configuration that we tested may not win the “absolute performance” battle, but it does win the performance/price and the battery/price comparison most of the time. If you’re after a big, 360-degree-hinge laptop with stylus, the HP Spectre x360 15 is the best on the market right now. Of the laptops we’ve reviewed, the Acer Spin 7 is in the same price bracket but is less powerful; however, it's also smaller and lighter, and so worth a look.

In the beginning of this review, I questioned whether HP might finally have made the perfect laptop. That was sort of a trick question, as there's no such thing. If you're a gamer that's looking for a 15-inch quad-core beast with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080, clearly this isn't for you. Or maybe you're looking at the other end of the spectrum and you want something that's ultra-portable, so maybe you have your eye on the HP Spectre 13 or Apple's MacBook.

This refreshed version showed the performance edge over competing 2-in-1 models that a prime cut of today's mobile components will gain you. That edge is not huge, but it's consistent. Not only does this laptop have a vibrant 15.6-inch 4K display, but it has other excellent qualities like strong performance, a comfortable keyboard and gorgeous design. While its battery life is commendable for a 4K display, I still wish it was a little longer, and the fact that you can't alter the configuration is frustrating.

Here we are, at the end of this review. Sadly, we have to part ways with the Spectre x360 15 (15-df0000). It is definitely one of the most finished devices we have reviewed in a while. Although, like many other laptops, some features come at the expense of something else, we found the compromises made with this one to be the most forgivable. As a possible downside, we would only put the heat output from the keyboard area and a slight coil whine when copying or transferring files to the SSD. In addition to that, the device is a little risky to open, since you have to remove both feet, which are made out of a thin rubber, hence easily tareable.

HP:
Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.
NVIDIA GeForce 940MX: Мобильная видеокарта среднего уровня на архитектуре Maxwell. В отличие от 940M теперь поддерживает память GDDR5 и работает на чуть более высоких частотах
NVIDIA GeForce MX150: Мобильная видеокарта на архитектуре Pascal, использует чип GP108, является ноутбучной версией GeForce GT 1030. Содержит 384 шейдера и 2 ГБ видеопамяти GDDR5 с 64-битной шиной. Чип производится по 14 нм техпроцессу.

Intel Core i7:
i7-8705G: Quad-core notebook processor based on the Kaby Lake architecture running at 3.1 - 4.1 GHz. Integrates 4GB fast HBM2 graphics memory that may also be used as a CPU cache and including the high TDP of 65 Watts may lead to a higher CPU performance compared to the similar Core i7-7920HQ. Similar to the Core i7-8706G, but without vPro support.
i7-8565U: Четырехъядерный мобильный процессор семейства Whiskey Lake (технически идентичен Kaby Lake, но произведен по дополнительно улучшенному 14 нм++ техпроцессу). Частота варъируется от 1.8 до 4.6 ГГц.
Intel Coffee Lake:
