За внешним сходством ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 со своим предшественником скрывается глубокая модернизация ультрабука как по эргономичности и удобству использования, так и по аппаратной составляющей. Фактически не изменился только основной дисплей, а всё остальное разработчики старались улучшить, что им удалось практически полностью, за исключением зачем-то уменьшенных стрелок на клавиатуре и камеры с разрешением 720p. К эргономическим оптимизациям мы отнесём уменьшенную на 3 мм толщину корпуса ультрабука, слегка сниженную массу, более удобный в эксплуатации дисплей ScreenPad Plus с повышенной яркостью и контрольной панелью для продуктов Adobe.

It also manages to squeeze in roughly the same amount of total screen space as a 17in laptop into a 14in chassis, which is a feat in itself. The main question to ask yourself before you commit to buying one is: are you willing to compromise on the usability of the keyboard and the touchpad in order to gain that extra space? While the answer to this question for some of you will be yes – perhaps you’re sick and tired of the same old laptop design and you’re aching to try something new – most, I suspect, will be conservative and spend their £1,500 more cautiously. There’s nothing else quite like the Asus ZenBook Duo UX482 (apart from other ZenBook Duos) but that will ensure it remains of limited appeal to a niche audience.

What I like most about the ZenBook Duo 14 is that you really can't tell from the outside of the laptop what you'll see when you lift the lid. Despite opening and closing it countless times at this point, I still get a kick out of seeing its secondary 12.6-inch touchscreen rise from above the keyboard to meet the bottom of the main 14-inch display. One screen flows into the next and, with the help of Asus' software, that slim display becomes more useful than you might think (and certainly more useful than Apple's Touch Bar). There are a few compromises that come with the design, but they might just be worth it.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Видеопроцессор, встраиваемый в некоторые процессоры Intel семейства Tiger Lake. Задействует новую архитектуру 12 поколения, располагает 96 кластерами унифицированных шейдеров. Максимальная частота разная в зависимости от конкретного ЦП. Изготавливается Xe Graphics G7 на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel во втором поколении.

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

i7-1165G7: Четырёхъядерный процессор семейства Tiger Lake. Относится к среднему уровню производительности, ориентирован на тонкие ноутбуки; частота процессорных ядер при 28-ваттовом долговременном Power Limit равна 28 Вт, максимально достижимая частота при нагрузке на одно ядро = 4.7 ГГц. Встроенный графический процессор называется Iris Xe G7 (96 блоков EU). Рассматриваемый Core i7 изготавливается на 10-нанометровом производстве Intel во втором поколении и был вторым по производительности среди всех процессоров Tiger Lake подкласса UP3, когда Intel представила их в 2020 году.
