These two upgrades, along with the addition of a telephoto lens, should make even the relatively recent owners of POCO phones pretty enticed to upgrade right away. If you’re feeling enticed to make the purchase, POCO’s official pricing for this smartphone is just RM2,499 (+RM200 for the 512GB version), which is insane value if performance is what you prioritize above everything else. As a whole package, it’s still offering solid value for the sum of its parts, but do keep in mind that it does have its shortcomings in order to make a Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone as cheap as it is.

Sadly the large LF950 sensor of the more expensive F8 has been replaced with a smaller Light Fusion model, so low light photography isn't as impressive. The POCO F8 Pro also struggles with any kind of action, so kids, cats etc often end up a fuzzy blur. Performance is still strong thankfully, even if this phone goes with the original Snapdragon 8 Elite - it's a proper powerhouse, although the POCO F8 Pro does heat up if you game for too long on Wuthering Waves with the graphics boosted. Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 delivers a solid gaming mode as usual, although battery life when playing more demanding titles is surprisingly short.

You can get decent results from the main camera and even some fine portraits using the 2.5X telephoto, but the ultrawide is uninspiring, and the video is also pretty mediocre. If you can live with these drawbacks, the Poco F8 Pro will give you a lot of joy as a daily driver.

The Poco F8 Pro is an excellent all-rounder with few missteps, and those being the overall camera experience as well as the MSRP price. It's a hard sell at its original price, sadly. But if you catch the early bird days, the F8 Pro becomes quite enticing, making the camera trade-off easily justifiable. The handset has dependable battery life, excellent screen, snappy charging, and there aren't many phones in this price range offering a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. One could argue that the Poco F8 Pro is a solid future-proof solution at a discount.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Интегрированный графический блок в SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite для смартфонов с тремя платами по 1,1 ГГц каждая. Встроенный общий кэш-память объемом 12 МБ для трех сегментов. По данным Qualcomm, на 40% быстрее, чем предыдущее поколение (Adreno 750).
Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.

SD 8 Elite: Высокотехнологичный SoC (System on a Chip) для смартфонов, который был представлен в конце 2024 года. В него интегрированы два быстрых ядра Oryon Gen 2 Prime с частотой до 4,32 ГГц и 6 меньших ядер Oryon Gen 2 Performance с частотой до 3,53 ГГц.
