Серьезным конкурентом LG V30+ среди 6-дюймовых смартфонов в новом форм-факторе мог бы стать Huawei Mate 10 Pro (наш обзор здесь), который также получил экран с технологией HDR10, двойную основную камеру и быструю зарядку. "Китаец" также выгодно отличается свежей версией операционной системы Android Oreo, объемом оперативной памяти (6 ГБ против 4 ГБ), емким аккумулятором (4 000 мА*ч против 3 300 мА*ч у LG) и оптикой Leica. А вот по качеству звука в наушниках, по крайней мере, чисто субъективно, этот аппарат, который к тому же лишили 3,5-мм аудио-коннектора, уступает LG V30+. Да и защита корпуса от внешних воздействий у него менее впечатляющая. В общем, есть что сравнивать. Только вот официальные продажи Huawei Mate 10 Pro в России еще не начались.

Есть в LG V30+ неоспоримые преимущества — супер-качественный дисплей, отличное качество звука (по сочетанию качества звучания и качества камеры ему и конкурентов не найдёшь) в наушниках, хорошая автономность при скорости работы даже чуть более высокой, чем в Samsung. Если вам «не зашли» Galaxy восьмого поколения, но хочется чего-нибудь настолько же корейского, разносторонне крутого и дорогого в мелочах — покупайте. Если вы со своей стопкой денег ищете смартфон с лучшей камерой в 2017 году — есть смысл обратить внимание на модели с изначально более сбалансированными камерами. А если хочется «чего-то такого, но дешевле», LG G6 за 35-40 тысяч рублей подарит вам такое же качество звука, очень близкую по потенциалу камеру и даже более брутальный корпус.

The LG V30+ fits in well to the super-premium smartphone market and only photography enthusiasts will not be happy with it. However, the price hike to reach this market tier is exponential and tends to be inversely-proportional to value. The LG-manufactured Google Pixel 2 can be had for almost $200 less while a lower-specified Samsung Galaxy S9 can be had for the same price. However, the real issue is that LG’s older G6 offers similar functionality and a better camera for one-quarter of the price nowadays (albeit in a less-refined package). So, with the LG V30+, you’re paying much more for form than function and, at this price, it should be perfect.

Overall, it's clear that LG has managed to improve by leaps and bounds this year, first with the G6 and now with the V30+. It looks phenomenally good and will appeal to people who love having a lot of features to play around with. Of course, there are still rough edges to be worked on, mostly in terms of the user experience. There's no point in having a beautiful phone with an immersive display if that screen itself is flawed. Similarly, having dozens of camera modes and tool should be secondary to the actual output quality. This is exactly the kind of device that looks dazzling at first glance and has an impressive spec sheet, but really needs some time spent with it to uncover its true nature.

Is the LG V30+ a fair bit more than the LG G6 at R15 649? Yes it is, but for good reason. Each element of the device has been fine tuned to deliver a solid overall performance that the G6 just misses the mark on. When you're dropping that much money on a flagship phone, you don't want to have any doubts as to the capabilities of your device, and the V30+ is really without fault.

Don’t get me wrong. The LG V30+ is a good device. Again, the sound is out of this world. Actually, I’d put my head on a chopping block and say it is the best audio of any smartphone I’ve used. The battery power is strong and the phone does what it needs to do. But with a price tag of R15 000 it needs to do more. For me, it doesn’t. I really think this phone is better suited to a funky advertising agency exec who wants to watch Netflix on business flights to Nigeria and whip out his stylus to take notes during meetings. That lady – she’d dig this. It would be the perfect phone for her and the price would be justified. Because the V30+ is a phablet and offers everything she needs. But it is being pushed as a creator’s phone and this creator just doesn’t think it stacks up.

Qualcomm Adreno 540: Встроенная графика для смартфонов, используется в чипсете Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. Была представлена в начале 2017 года, устанавливается во все флагманские Android-смартфоны/планшеты. 

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся лишь с самыми простыми играми, больше подходя для простых дел - просмотра видео в Сети и обработки документов. Плюсом можно считать скромный нагрев и расход энергии.

SD 835: Топовый чипсет для смартфонов и планшетов в 2017 году. Производится по 10 нм LPP FinFET техпроцессу силами TSMC. Процессор состоит из двух кластеров: производительный из 4 ядер Kryo 280 (Cortex-A75) с частотой 2.45 ГГц и энергоэффективный из 4 ядер Kryo 280 с частотой 1.9 Ггц.
