Так вот, о цене. Официально новый MacBook стоит от 107 тысяч рублей — цена немаленькая, но дело даже не в этом. Точно такая же цифра — 107 000 рублей — определяет минимальную цену и актуального MacBook Pro 13. Да, габариты этих устройств различаются существенно, и MacBook Pro 13 весит в 1,5 раза больше, но зато MBP — это полноценная рабочая станция, при этом, достаточно компактная для своих возможностей. Там и множество портов и высокая производительность, а автономность при этом ничуть не хуже, чем у MacBook.

Еще не приступив к тестированию нового MacBook, мы думали, что увидим однозначную (и потому скучную) картину: подтвердим, что новинка стала более производительной, долгоживущей и т. п. Но практика оказалась интереснее. Констатировать существенного превосходства MacBook 2016 по производительности над своим предшественником мы не можем. И нас совсем не радует картина с Final Cut Pro X, а также проигрыши в некоторых подтестах Geekbench 3 и GFX Benchmark 3. Хотя, конечно, мы допускаем, что дело в самих тестах (например, что их еще не успели оптимизировать под новый процессор и конфигурацию в целом), но пока складывается впечатление, что если прирост и есть, то далеко не везде он почувствуется. Разве что оперативная память стала однозначно быстрее. Но по-настоящему требовательные вещи (типа видеомонтажа или серьезных 3D-игр, даже четырехлетней давности) по-прежнему не подходят для MacBook, а в элементарных операциях все в порядке было и у предыдущего MacBook.

Что ж, глядя на Apple MacBook 12, на ум сразу приходит известная фраза: «Вот до чего техника дошла!». Действительно, устройство состоит сплошь из достоинств, в числе которых – шикарный внешний вид, высокое разрешение экрана (2304х1440 точек), реализация новейших разработок относительно клавиатуры и тачпада. Отдельного внимания заслуживают компактные размеры лэптопа и его малый вес (280х196х5-13 мм, 920 г), а также замена интерфейсов одним универсальным – USB Type-C.

Apple Macbook 12 – Революция Или Обман?

Что ж, если отбросить в сторону эмоции, то имеем следующее: Apple MacBook 12 позиционируется как относительно недорогой (в понятии Apple, разумеется) ноутбук, стоимостью $1299 (Intel Core M-5Y31 + 256 ГБ SSD) или $1599 (Intel Core M-5Y51 + 512 ГБ SSD) (+$250 за версию с чипом Intel Core M-5Y71). К сожалению, производитель умалчивает о том, что для полноценной работы придется докупить немалое количество переходников, что заметно увеличивает стоимость устройства. Вместе с тем, особой производительностью гаджет похвастаться не может, да и новшества, реализованные в нем, понравятся далеко не всем. По весу и габаритам данный ноутбук не особо отличается от последней модели «воздушной» линейки – Apple MacBook Air 2014, разве что разрешение его дисплея стало получше. Так стоит ли игра свеч?

SSD примечателен интерфейсом PCIe x4 и поддержкой протокола NVMe, предназначенного специально для твердотельных накопителей, в отличие от ныне повсеместно используемого протокола AHCI, который был создан с расчетом на жесткие диски. Главное преимущество NVMe — сниженная латентность обработки команд. Другой важный фактор — поддержка нескольких очередей команд и увеличенная длина очереди (с 32 до 64 команд соответственно). Новый протокол в большей степени проявляет себя в серверных, нежели клиентских накопителях, однако и последние смогут извлечь выгоду из смены AHCI на NVMe. В частности, сниженная латентность позволит SSD больше времени проводить в спящем режиме, сокращая расход энергии. Повсеместное внедрение NVMe в клиентских компьютерах неизбежно, но Apple, в данном случае контролирующая процесс проектирования и производства компьютера от начала до конца, форсирует события. Непонятно только, зачем понадобилось создавать собственный контроллер, если у Samsung и Marvell уже есть готовые варианты для NVMe.

It’s hard not to fall in love with the new MacBook. It’s a staggeringly-brilliant bit of engineering and doesn’t compromise on usability, even though it is incredibly tiny. On the face of things, the starting price of £1,049 seems fairly expensive, but it’s £30 less than the equivalent 13-inch MacBook Air with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, and only £70 more than the 11-inch MacBook Air with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. Given the new MacBook's better display and lower weight, we’d definitely buy it over either of the Air models. Performance is the big issue for this laptop: it’s got enough grunt for simple tasks, making it a good choice as a second computer for working on the move. If you just want one laptop that does everything, however, the 13-inch MacBook Pro is still the model for you.

The new butterfly keyboard and touchpad design make this 2-pound wonder surprisingly comfortable to use for long stretches, and the ultrabright and colorful Retina display make the experience all the more pleasant.

It's lighter and much slimmer than the latest Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch, and its battery lasts longer. Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся лишь с самыми простыми играми, больше подходя для простых дел - просмотра видео в Сети и обработки документов. Плюсом можно считать скромный нагрев и расход энергии.

5Y31: Core M-5Y31 - процессор Intel для портативных устройств, анонсированный в конце 2014 года. Он использует 2 вычислительных ядра архитектуры Broadwell и подходит для электроники с пассивным охлаждением.
