Spending the past couple of weeks with the Nubia Z50 is a capable mid-ranger that has a nice amount of power behind it. Its display allows you to watch daily content and navigate a breeze but its OS I’m not a major fan of. Also tied in with this being a China variant and not being able to access some apps. Picture taking should satisfy those wanting to snap a photo here and there. It could be a more compelling phone if ZTE could take it under its wing in the U.S. and add competition to the phone market. I was able to pop in my T-Mobile sim and get service FYI. Otherwise, it’s going for $549 and only available internationally.

The ZTE company unveiled the ZTE Nubia Z50 smartphone around December 2022. The ZTE Nubia Z50 offers a standard tall aspect ratio of a 6.74 inches AMOLED display panel. The screen also has an HDR10+, 1B colors, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits brightness rating. Overall the display quality is better in this smartphone. The Nubia Z50 smartphone offers an amazing 4nm Qualcomm SM8550 Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for gaming and multitasking without any hassle. The Android 13 OS is present in this smartphone with MyOS 13 custom UI. Furthermore, the company also offers various storage options that varied from 128GB/256GB/512GB internal space that will accompany 8GB/12GB RAM support. With that, the high variant comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage. But sadly, you won’t find any secondary card slot in this phone.
