Что мне нравится в Realme — они прислушиваются к покупателям. Сначала от них требовали NFC-модуль во всех моделях, и они это сделали. Затем были претензии к камере — они выпустили Realme 9 Pro+, который при цене в 31 тысячу рублей «порвал» даже некоторые флагманы от конкурентов. Ну а теперь и телеобъектив добавили, на отсутствие которого не жаловался только ленивый. Да не просто «для галочки», а с оптическим стабилизатором, чтобы результаты были достойные, а не как у Tecno Phantom X2 Pro. Да и в целом, я не знаю, за что можно поругать Realme 12 Pro+. Даже то, что производительность у него в бенчмарках ниже, чем у прямых конкурентов, так себе недостаток: в реальных жизненных сценариях вы этого не заметите, зато по автономности он лидер.

Как и предшественника, realme 12 Pro+ можно полюбить с первого взгляда: динамичный профиль, спинка из искусственной кожи с необычным и придающим смартфону характера рисунком. Он как минимум выделяется на общем фоне, а как максимум – претендует на звание одного из самых красивых смартфонов на сегодняшнем рынке (причем не только в своем классе). Одно но – realme 11 Pro+ выглядел еще лучше. Впрочем, на этом но заканчиваются — realme 12 Pro+ лишен слабых мест предшественника. И влагозащита на месте (пусть и уровня IP65), и аппаратная платформа очень сильно прибавила в мощи – теперь смартфон не просто удерживается в пелотоне, а занимает место среди лидеров в нем. Ну и главное: камера действительно хороша, причем не только «физически» (добавлен оптический зум), но и программно – новые фильтры очень интересные, а оба «гибридных» зума реализованы здорово.

У realme получился очень сбалансированный смартфон для тех, кто не готов отдавать 60−100 тысяч за навороченный флагман, но при этом хочет надежный бренд, надежный смартфон. Главное — с продвинутой системой камерой. В realme 12 Pro+ топовый набор модулей, который можно найти по цене до 50 тысяч рублей. Аллилуйя — с оптическим зумом. Без ущербных макрокамер и сенсоров глубины. Влагозащита есть, стереозвук на месте, даже вибро приятное. Экран работает плавно и не убивает ваши глаза. Да, процессор мог быть помощнее, но если вы не хардкорный геймер — не вижу проблем. Пожалуй, сейчас это главный конкурент «середнякам» от Xiaomi. Смартфоны во многом похожи, realme 12 Pro+ больше подходит для мобильной фотографии.

Consequently, realme didn’t make the phone too expensive despite the serious performance and camera upgrades. At a price of just Php 25,999 (with special intro price of Php 21,999 via Lazada, Shopee and Tiktok Shop), it is a bit more expensive than before. But given the upgrades, I would say it is justified. However, the price increase does mean it has a lot more serious contenders to go up against. Even if you already have the realme 11 Pro+ 5G 11, you won’t feel short-handed if you do trade up. Nonetheless, the realme 12 Pro+ 5G is a great phone to buy especially if you already need to upgrade to a new model this early 2024.

On top of that, the curved nature of the displays further enhances the premium experience of the new smartphones. However, there are some cons as well, especially if you consider the prices of the two smartphones, which are not cheap by any means. One of the major cons is the lack of any display protection. In the premium smartphone category, this is a must. The second would be the lack of wireless charging, which is not a must but would have been nice to have. It would have certainly set it apart from others in the market. Right now, the new smartphone doesn’t offer much that its competition in the same price bracket doesn’t already offer, except for the cameras. The cameras of the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus are indeed better than the competition.

You get a good display, a good battery performance, a premium-looking design, pretty decent camera, especially if you are a fan of portrait shots, and largely decent general performance. The only downside I can point out in the phone is the sometimes-laggy in-display fingerprint sensor and the bloatware in the UI. The latter is easily fixable. However, looking at the pricing of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, I really think the smartphone is still a pretty good deal. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, which is the biggest competitor of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, also has a largely similar performance overall. So, unless you are particularly a fan of Xiaomi phones, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G definitely is a battery value for money.
