Обзор Nokia N1: Триумфальное Возвращение Nokia На Android?

Преимуществом Nokia N1 на фоне конкурентом является цена (по крайней мере за рубежом, ждем корректировки в России) и металлический корпус в стиле Apple. Но минусов достаточно: планшет работает не сильно долго, показатели производительности не самые высокие, много ограничений: нет GPS и LTE, карты памяти, применяется неудобный разъем USB Type-C. Для некогда великой марки Nokia стать еще одним производителем клонов Apple iPad - печальный итог многолетней истории, согласитесь. Ждем более интересные устройства в 2016 году, когда бренд получит свободу от Microsoft и на рынке смартфонов.

Общественность ждала чуда, а в ответ получила анонс очередного планшета по образу и подобию iPad Mini. Среди похожих решений наш герой выделяется только симметричным разъемом USB Type C да фирменной оболочкой Z Launcher. Иначе говоря, вам придется дольше искать приложения и бережнее хранить кабель, чем при работе с обычным планшетом. Нет 3G-версии, нет GPS, нет разъема для карты памяти (хорошо хоть встроенной памяти 32 ГБ вместо 16). С таким подходом Nokia Group придется выдерживать очень привлекательную цену для модели N1.

Nokia N1 review - too good for the UK?

This is a shame, as the Nokia N1 is a stunning little Android tablet that absolutely deserves a place on UK shop shelves. While it's not as good value as the Nexus 9, which has since come down to just £200, the N1 is still an incredible tablet with exceptional build quality and battery life and a novel yet easy to use interface. It's a much better buy than the iPad Mini 3 and is my new favourite small tablet. Only its quasi-legal status keeps it from winning a Best Buy award, though with a tablet this good I can’t help but still recommend it.

We rejoiced when we learned that Nokia is coming back to consumer devices. It's the Rolling Stones of smartphone makers - it had a wild youth but as time went on it became recognized as the best. It took a short hiatus, but now it's back. We've seen some outlandish looking hardware from Nokia, it was part of its charm - the Finns were never afraid to try something new and we got a lot of great hardware thanks to that. The Nokia N1 is not that, it's playing it safe and quite derivative in design.

Apart from that there isn’t a whole lot to the software experience, with only a few additional settings available, including Compass and Gyro sensor calibration, and Intel Smart Video. As mentioned, this particular version doesn’t offer Google Play Services, but that will not be the case when the device makes its way to a wider release. It is also important to keep in mind that the Z Launcher is still in its beta iteration, with the upcoming full release likely taking care of any bugs and glitches you may notice now.

We think the N1, despite its unoriginal design touches, is a fantastic tablet. We look forward to testing its screen, performance, cameras, and more in more suitable conditions when it is launched in India. We don't know any dates but it is coming at some point - Nokia reps made a point of telling us that they are aware of the brand's power in India and have no intention of letting it slide into obscurity.
