Aorus continues to create some of the sleekest, albeit most expensive gaming laptops on the block. For $2,299, gamers get a bona fide powerhouse that can produce frame rates on a par with more beastly 17-inch rigs -- provided the resolution's set to 1080p. When you're not gaming, the laptop can function as a kickass productivity machine, or just a gorgeous way to watch 4K movies.

This notebook is marred by two glaring issues. The bottom of the chassis and parts of the top get too hot to the touch while gaming. It’s understandable to use the chassis as a heatsink, though we think this notebook takes it to the excess. Secondly, the fans are too loud at top RPM and have a highly distinct whine. Even though the X5S has a rather decent pair of speakers, we found ourselves reverting to headphones to hear quieter sounds in games. These issues are both sacrifices made to achieve such a thin and light design. You’ll have to decide whether the trade-offs are worthwhile.

The bright, colorful display is adequately powered, and it handles productivity applications as easily as gaming. Part of the fun for me was seeing just how great my older games looked with their settings and resolution turned to the max.

Мощная видеокарта для ноутбуков, основанная на чипе GM204 (Maxwell).
Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся со многими играми, если не гнаться за максимальным разрешением и качеством картинки. Сравнительно умеренное энергопотребление таких GPU обеспечит увеличение времени автономной работы.
