прекрасный геймерский ноутбук с топовым железом. Я немного скептично отнесся к устройству на старте, но после того, как попользовался немного подольше, понял, за что именно производитель просит такие деньги. Естественно, от этого ценник не становится менее высоким, но ноутбук делает все то, чего от него ожидаешь и полностью соответствует своим характеристикам. Есть альтернативы с железом чуть попроще и существенно меньше по стоимости, но если вы хотите запускать все самые крупные тайтлы на максимальной графике, вообще не задумываясь о том, потянет ли их ваш ноутбук – вам обязательно стоит обратить внимание на Acer Predator Triton 500 SE.

The Predator Triton 500 SE is certainly the “tip of the spear” gaming laptop in Acer’s lineup, and this model is particularly fast, both for Gaming and Creative applications. This dual polyvalence is a real strength for this laptop as many “Gaming-only” laptops might not have such high-performance display or storage options that Creative users need to do their best work. The excellent expandability of storage (4TB) and RAM (64GB) capacity could even increase its potential useful lifespan or resale value. A low max-RAM capacity could be a bottleneck if you deal with super-high resolution content (4K, 8K video editing). In conclusion, the Acer Predator Triton 500 SE is a terrific high-performance laptop with tremendous computing power for graphics applications, backed by an efficient cooling system. It is worthy of your consideration.

Знакомство с Predator Triton 500 SE от Acer оставило у меня много приятных впечатлений. Это хороший игровой ноутбук, обладающий при этом довольно строгим и взрослым дизайном. Сборка приглянулась, ведь речь идет о металлическом корпусе. Ноутбук оказался тонким и компактным — во всяком случае, для 16 дюймов. Экран отличный, он великолепно подходит для игр и просмотра фильмов. Этот момент, возможно, будет актуален для версий с меньшим объемом SSD и оперативной памяти. Также вызывают вопросы размеры и расположение некоторых кнопок на клавиатуре и автономность — все же в тестовой лаборатории бывали и более живучие игровые лэптопы. Осталось подождать ноября, чтобы узнать, сколько будет стоить новинка Acer, и понять, насколько его цена соответствует качеству.

The Acer Predator Triton 500 SE, there is a lot to like about this laptop. Clean and professional aesthetics, lots of high-performance ports, and a beautiful 16-inch display. I know the 12th gen is here but for gaming, it doesn’t really have that much difference when compared to the 11th gen. If I were to complain, I would pick on why they would pick the Core i9 and RTX 3080 110W. It makes the laptop more expensive for a small margin of performance. This laptop is best to go with i7 and RTX 3070 even if it is 110W. RM12,999 for i9 and 3080 is only for those who have extra to spare.

The Acer Predator Triton 500 SE is a solid do-it-all laptop but it's not the best overall gaming laptop in terms of performance and thermal management. Although it nails the basics, it's hard to recommend a product designed for gamers that drops the ball in these areas. Gamers need the best bang-for-the-buck for performance but also require good thermal management for long gaming sessions. It’s competition does better in those respects. However, there is a place for this laptop. If you dabble in gaming but perhaps do more photo or video editing, or are coding, this may be the right one for you. The Triton is relatively thin and light for a gaming laptop, making it easy to carry with you for everyday tasks and the occasional mobile gaming session It has an understated design that doesn’t stand out too much at work or at school, if that’s a concern. Its keyboard is nice to type on, and has a large, bright, high-res screen so coders and writers alike will find this pleasant to use for long work sessions.

Nonetheless, the 3060 (starting at $1749) and 3070 (starting at $1999) configurations are arguably the better value and where most people should end up shopping, so we’ll have to see how competitive this Triton 500 SE ends up once available in stores. Based on past experience and the little data available so far, I’d expect it to be aggressively priced in most regions. Anyway, that’s about it for now with this preview of the Acer Predator Triton 500 SE PT516-51s.
