The Huawei P9 is one of the best looking and performing phones the company has ever produced. There's a lot to love here in terms of the design, the spec and how everything comes together to work. Paired with a kick-ass camera that works perfectly on auto-mode and a fingerprint scanner that boots up the phone in a matter of milliseconds, it's hard not to recommend the Huawei P9.

My only problems were with the power management and the fact that some of the icons got adjusted when I changed the themes. I also found, as you’ll probably have seen in the video above, that sometimes I kept missing the buttons within the camera interface. People have also mentioned the EMUI interface but I’ve not found it getting in the way too much. The lack of an app drawer wasn’t a deal breaker for me and I soon settled into it being my daily driver.

Overall, we're impressed with the phone: it's well built, feels good and looks good. Though with the speed of fingerprint unlocking via the back sensor, you may never see the images, making the lockscreen itself almost irrelevant. Maybe it will go the way of the app drawer in time? I don’t want to seem too down on the Huawei P9. If this was an Honor device (Huawei’s consumer brand) and put out at £300 then I’d consider it fabulous value for money and a top buy. At £450 (in the UK, including VAT) though, it’s within striking distance of the top tier devices which out-gun it in terms of screen, imaging, speaker, performance, and brand.

The Huawei P9 is an attractive phone with good battery life at a very reasonable price, but it’s let down by camera niggles and the continuing irritation that is EmotionUI. The P9 therefore just misses out on an unconditional recommendation - especially given the strength of the similarly priced competition which includes the less fussy Nexus 5X and6P although those phones are admittedly missing micro SD card slots.

Huawei’s Emotion UI still proves to be a sticking point, however, and the P9’s general performance isn’t particularly stellar, especially around gaming.

The processor is strong enough to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S7, although it doesn’t quite compare in terms of graphical power. However, it’s worth noting that there aren’t huge differences between the P9 Plus and the flagship P9 so depending on what you want from the smartphone, it may be worth taking a look at the £100 cheaper Huawei P9. Otherwise, it’s a decent premium flagship that we’re impressed with.

Like the P9 and the Mate 8, the Huawei P9 Plus has excellent hardware, but I also like the software. It isn’t stock Android and if you want stock Android then you aren’t going to be happy with EMUI. In fact, given the sheer all-round quality of the P9 it's a fantastically capable phone for the money. It's tough to argue with an attractive, capable smartphone that undercuts much of its competition on price, yet still packs in a superb camera, good performance and a whole heap of premium features. The P9 costs £449 SIM free and the P9 Plus is £549 inc VAT, which is very reasonable for this calibre of phone. However, you can pick it up for much less if you shop around and buy it in tandem with a PAYG or monthly SIM deal. For instance, pick up a Huawei P9 from O2 along with the PAYG deal of your choice, and the 32GB model is only £370 – that's £110 cheaper than our current favourite phone, the Huawei-built Nexus 6P, and dramatically cheaper than the other high-end smartphone rivals.

Huawei P9 Lite – стандартный смартфон среднего класса, со своими достоинствами и недостатками. По-моему мнению, девайс получился весьма сбалансированным и подойдёт для большей части пользователей. Восьмиядерная система-на-чипе, 5,2-дюймовый Full HD-дисплей, сканер отпечатков пальцев, поддержка LTE Cat.6 – всё это относится к сильным сторонам аппарата. К смартфону стоит присмотреться повнимательнее, особенно тем, кто не привык разбрасываться деньгами.

Huawei:

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности справятся лишь с самыми простыми играми, больше подходя для простых дел - просмотра видео в Сети и обработки документов. Плюсом можно считать скромный нагрев и расход энергии.

ARM Mali-T880 MP4:

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности практически не подходят дли игр, но справятся с самыми простыми делами, вроде отображения 2D-материала на экране умеренного разрешения.

ARM Mali-T830 MP2:

Графические процессоры этой категории производительности совершенно не подходят для игр. Скорее всего, даже в повседневных делах пользователь столкнётся с ограничениями, такими, как отсутствие аппаратного декодирования видео или невозможность подключения монитора с актуальным разрешением.
